The warmth of down and the good looks and easy care of machine-washable microsuede rolled into one. The brushed polyester fabric feels as soft as suede, yet is specially treated to bead light rain and snow. Baffle-quilted with Bean Tested® 650-fill goose down, known for its premium quality and high-lofting warmth. Generous hidden pocket on the storm flap placket lets you reach your wallet, phone or train pass without unzipping your coat. Nylon lining slides easily over sweaters. Internal cuffs seal in warmth. Zip-closure handwarmer pockets and a secure zip-closure pocket inside. Lightly insulated, removable hood; two-way zipper, adjustable drawcord waist and front patch pockets. Imported. Machine wash and dry. Relaxed fit; best with midweight layer; falls at midthigh.

Rated 5 out of 5�by Lledesma Great jacket for commuting in the Northeast I recently got this coat and it's everything they say it is.. and more. It's comfortable, light and keeps me warm. If you have long arms, you might want to get a tall size because these sleeves are just right for me and I'm 5'5" tall. April 1, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by AleksandrP Sleeve in L could be 1 inch longer,otherwise happy I am 6 feet with 43" chest and 30" full arm length (tip of the shoulder to the middle finger). Ordered size LARGE. The length of the coat is just perfect, but sleeves could have been an inch longer, even though sizing charts says sleeves in L are 34-35". Very light, looks warm. Otherwise pretty happy with purchase and waiting to try it in Scandinavian winter. February 1, 2013

Rated 2 out of 5�by KIKNBK Lint/Dust Magnet! I bought this coat to use when running the snowblower and light work outside in the winter. It might work to wear to church or dinner but it is not suitable for a work coat! Plenty warm, decent fit although the arms were just a bit short. The suede "finish" feels good but really attracts all kinds of particulates. I wore it for about 2 hours during which I made 1 rip on my table saw and then spent 15 minutes trying to get the sawdust off so I could return it. I replaced it with the Rugged Ridge parka and LL Bean gave their usual great exchange service! I would recommend it to a friend as a dress coat. January 11, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5�by BHAstro Warm, not bulky, great exterior fabric This is an excellent all around parka for walking and working in thecold. I wear it in my observatory where it is often in the teens and I just wear a t-shirt underneath. The microfiber shell is a great improvement over the usual slick noisy nylon. It doesn't seem to collect dirt or dog hair, and brushes off easily. When hiking it's very quiet, unlike most down coats. Also it's not as bulky or thick as other down coats I have worn, yet it's every bit as warm. There are plenty of pockets and the handwarmers are just right. The drawstring stoppers could be a bit larger, as it's hard to work them with gloves on. The hood is a nice fit and adjustable to wear over a cap. Also the hood can be pulled halfway up and it acts as an earwarmer without restricting your vision. If Bean made a shorter jacket length like this with a hood I'd buy it- but for now this is nearly perfect. December 23, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5�by CamdenVisitor Warmth in Winter Have worn this coat twice, including in today's snowstorm. For winter warmth at a great price, this coat is hard to beat. The down filling kept me snug, and the wind was no factor. My only caution is that the outer shell, while moisture resistant, is not waterproof. That's why I gave it 4 stars. For snowy days, this coat is wonderful. February 29, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5�by Robfels An Excellent Coat This coat is absolutely the best coat I have ever owned. The slash pockets are very convenient. The snaps are sturdy and work easily and go all the way to the top of the jacket. The coat is light in weight but absolutely warm in the lowest temperature. The length of the coat is good....perhaps adding about two inches would be a plus. The zipper works with a bit of effort..I wish it was larger and that it could be engaged a bit more easily. But that is a very very minor problem. On the whole....I recommend this coat for comfort, appearance and ruggedness. February 25, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5�by LGDoug Everything Right! They did everything right on this coat! Water repellent, but soft outer layer. Just the right amount of down filling for warmth without too much weight or bulk. Detachable hood, but windproof on the neck. Snug sleeves at the wrist to keep out the cold. Draw strings in the right places. Dual function hand pockets. Extra pockets inside with zipper security. And my wife likes the way it looks :-) Five stars is a sure bet!! February 7, 2012
