I liked this shoe when I saw it online, and I liked the price even more. I was a little underwhelmed when I got it though. I really like the neutral color and the Sude's texture, but I was disappointed by the width of the shoe. I was expecting it to be a very unassuming dock-shoe, but it is in reality very wide. It is almost a "skater shoe." I appreciate the sturdiness, but not how unsightly it looks. I would not consider wearing them with shorts and I have not yet worn them out of the house. This could just be me however, but my immediate reaction upon opening the box was "L.L. Bean would actually sell these?" The only reason I wouldn't recommend it to a friend is just because they aren't my style. I have no doubts they are very sturdy and well made.

lots of promise but thoroughly unsatisfying (for me). construction seems sound, but fit is poor, with very lumpy insoles. these are precisely what they appear to be, a simple light knockaround shoe for summer days, but they provide limited support, are a bit stiff, and actually pinch across the tongue and shank. if you're an easy fit, these should be fine, but beware if you're a tough shoe fit like myself.

Good-looking all-around shoes, comfortable for city walking. Well suited for most travel.

I have been buying and wearing size 9 shoes for decades except when I was unable to buy a pair that came in anything other than medium width...then I'd order a larger size. I ordered a 9 EE and found that the length was too short with a sock on & my toes were against the toe box without socks. I returned them via LL Bean's wonderful return policy, and 91/2 size arrived today. They fit much better. Other than that, the shoes look great and appear as though they will be great on the deck of our boat...however, in high temperatures in the 20s & 30s at the moment, I didn't run right over to the marina to try them out.

My husband was very happy with his new shoes. They fit perfectly. He likes the color very much. As all L.L. Bean products, we know they will wear long and well.

These fit like a glove right out of the box. Very comfortable until I stood up to walk. Both shoes had a seam that terminates in a BB shaped point at the top of the heal that creates a hot spot on your achilles tendon. Rec'vd replacements and exact same issue. I really wanted these shoes to work and so wore them for about an hour but the discomfort got worse. Put on thicker socks thinking I'd add my own padding - same problem. I wish Beans would bring manufacturing back to the U.S. where I think quality control could be more closely monitored. I do still think Beans customer service is excellent.

Very comfortable shoe; size and width run true. My color choice was the tan/camel. Versatile - can be worn with jeans or shorts. Similar look to newer style casual golf shoes. Recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 Well made
Very well made, comfortable sole. The recommendation to order a half size larger to wear with thick socks was accurate. Bought two pair. Had to return because they didn't fit my particular left foot.

I like these shoes. They are a little narrow, but I think that is due to the fact that they have not been worn and broken in yet. They are light in weight, appear to be durable and at a reasonable price. As always they are backed by LL Beans guarantee, and shipping is free. You can't loose...:-).
