Rated 5 out of 5 by elbarto Nice Summer Shorts
These shorts are made with a lightweight, soft material. They're comfortable with large usable pockets. Although I prefer hook & loop fasteners, the buttoned cargo pockets are designed well and are easy to access. I really like the fairly long legs, which allow plenty of air circulation while still giving some protection from the Arizona sun. The shorts also wash well and don't need to be ironed. Am pleased with my purchase and would buy these shorts again.

Very nice pair of shorts for casual or semi-dress occasions. True to color and size and very comfortable. Love cargo shorts in general, and these are exceptional. I would recommend these to everyone and will order more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GlassyLady Not HIDDEN Comfort Waist
My husband has several pairs of Hidden Comfort Waist slacks and jeans, and they are perfect for him. I misread the description of these cargo shorts, just seeing "comfort waist" and not realizing they had just strips of elastic on each side, not the same hidden elastic panels of the other products. They'll work for my husband, but I had to set the waistband button over -- the elastic just does not stretch quite far enough. Otherwise, they are great shorts.

Eureka ! Pretty much a true fit ! Received on time & quickly began to use them ! The features were as promised. If I realized that the fit would be so true, I would have purchased two pair on the same day to take advantage on the 10% promo that just expired. However I did order a second pair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Torino1968 Quality and price
I like the comfort waist feature. Fabric weight is a bit heavy for being advertised as tropic weight. These shorts are way over priced. I will keep the one pair I ordered but will not order any additional pairs unless the price is cut in half.
Zipper is a light poor quality. Top front button is to small for this type of shorts. Hook and eye would be a better solution or a larger button.
LL Bean where did your quality go?

Rated 5 out of 5 by BobfromArizona Great shorts;
For an 80 year old, I love these shorts. I like to eat as well so the relaxed fit, comfort waist is perfect. Unlike other reviewers, I prefer button pockets on the cargo pockets rather than Velcro. To echo another reviewer, buttoned or not, what you put in the cargo pockets stay there. Give these shorts a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

seems like very heavy cloth for tropical. The cargo pockets are buttoned rather than velco, make opening much more difficult.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Luvtheocean Wide legs
Bought these shorts for my husband but am having to return them. The legs have wide openings and they were just too baggy on him.
Had purchased the Fossil Stone color and found them to have a green look to them rather than a khaki color. Back they go.

I bought another pair of these shorts, in a different color. They have become the shorts I like best (and as I live in Tucson, I own quite a few shorts!). I can now comment on longevity, and these shorts really hold up. The color doesn't fade, and they don't look their age, they look newish. Very impressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AncientGeek Light weight and nice looking
I have only tried these on for size so far, but they are nice looking and feel good. The fit is trim, but not too tight.
Though these are light weight, they are heavier than Supplex. So if you are looking for fast drying, ultra light weight shorts, you may want Supplex shorts. These are a bit dressier so they are very nice for specific occasions.
My only desired improvement would be Velcro fasteners on the cargo pockets. I find the button fasteners to be difficult to use. I suppose they are better for thwarting pick pockets, but they make it hard enough that I generally just leave them unbuttoned.
