When you order a complete fly rod and reel outfit, we pre-load the reel with fly line and backing for your convenience. Since most people retrieve line with their left hand, we install the line set up for left-hand retrieve. For online orders, we are unable to load the reel for right-hand retrieve. If you prefer right-hand retrieve, you may order by calling 800-347-4552 anytime.
