A good idea poorly executed. There is no way to adjust the waist with a drawstring or Velcro tabs or by using a belt (the elastic - such as it is - is not at all useful) so they either fit or - in my case - slide down. Also, the rise is not very long in the Tall size. Last, the insulation seems thin so have doubts as to the warmth compared to longjohns, as noted by a couple of other reviews. That's an issue given the high price for the item. I'm returning and will keep looking for something similar but with better design.

December 16th in New York and NO snow or cold yet...but that's fine with me. It's a win win situation. If it stays warm I'm very happy. If it's get snowy and cold I'll be ready.

This is the extra layer you are looking for. I wear mine under "snow suit" during those long sitting spells in the tree stand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by EyeDoc83 PrimaLoft Insulated Long Underwear
I bought this bottom to go with PrimaLoft Insulated Long Underwear Top to wade with on the White River (Arkansas) and Tim's Ford dam (Tennessee). Both of them did not do any better than my standard long john's. I do wade for 2-5 hours at a time and often to my waist or higher. I got both of them on sale for $99 each. I wore them on 7 different days. The only time I was not chilled was when I was boat fishing in 50 degree dry weather. I have not worn them when raining.

had something similar to these when i first started hunting back in the 70's. Wore these over my merino wool base layers while on stand in the pa. rifle season, sat all day nice and toasty.

These are warm without being bulky. They do not bunch up and the cuffs allow them to tuck into boots easily, but stay in place. A bit pricey, but worth it since they keep me warmer than the cheaper options.

I have other insulated long johns, but the bottom of the feet never feels smooth where your boot begin and the long johns end...with these insulated long underwear--you will never have that problem again...

Tried this during very cold deer hunting outings. Not very warm at all. Will be returning this. Very thin as in not much insulation.
