Rated 2 out of 5áby IdahoMary Short and narrow for average feet
I bought the brown nubuck slides last fall and am still having a time breaking them in. They are not the most comfortable shoes I own. As another reviewer said, the right shoe is smaller where the foot goes in than the left. Maybe there was a problem with the last???
My biggest issue, though, is that even though standing still the shoes seem to fit well, when you walk your foot slides back and forth over the lip on the back of the shoe. I finally figured out why I wear out the heel of socks so fast! I cannot wear cotton or wool socks with these. And don't even consider wearing thick socks, they won't fit in these shoes. I've been wearing polyester socks with them (not nearly as comfy). They seem to not wear out so fast.
I would say you may want to take the advice of others and get a half-size bigger. I wear an 8M and bought that size. I now wish I had bought an 81/2. The width seems a bit narrow for a M, but my feet are fairly slender.

I think they're great - would recommend them without hesitation (got them for the $50 sale price - felt lucky) - I only am aware that I had hoped to keep them clean but they are so comfortable I wear them in the woods and that has caused a lot of visible wear. I also would have bought the half size down if I did it over - not sure about the rest of the reviewers - but mine have stretched and they are very roomy - in just 4 months.... but the true size is good too - enjoy!

Rated 1 out of 5áby OutsideChic Bad Fit
I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8 and based on previous reviews of this shoe, I ordered a size 7.5. It was too tight, so I returned it for a size 8. It was just as tight as the first pair. I realized that it wasn't only the length that was the problem, it is more the width of the top area where the foot goes into the slide. It is extremely narrow and tight, and there is a seam on the leather that binds on the top side of your foot. Not comfortable at all. Usually I love LL Bean shoes and have always had good luck with style and fit. But these shoes just don't make the cut. I am returning them for a refund.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Susannah Great Style, Excellent Quality Shoe!
This is a beautifully-made, attractive dressy-casual shoe, perfect for someone like me who isn't into high heels any longer. The quality is excellent, and the shoe itself fits like a glove. I'm absolutely delighted with this purchase!
One comment: I first ordered a size that I've been told lately I should be getting, but it was much too long for my foot. So I reordered the same shoe in what used to be my normal size, and it's a perfect fit. Plenty of toe room, and oh, so comfortable.
[An 8.5 in one style of shoe might be a 9 in another style, so it's an individual thing, and certainly not the fault of either the manufacturer or L.L. Bean.]
What I consider lucky is that I was able to get exactly the right shoe, in the right size, at a very reasonable price for a shoe of this quality, almost the first time around.
To my mind, L.L. Bean rarely lets its customers down with regard to quality, and I really enjoy shopping here.

Rated 2 out of 5áby Pearlady Too short in length
I ordered my normal size ten as there was not a 10 1/2 offered. If you are going to make the shoes short in length, please offer a 10 1/2. Women's feet are getting bigger and there are alot of us 10's out there. Would definately be too short with a thick sock. Width ok for me. I wear a normal width. Nice slide if it fits. Deciding whether to return as foot fits but feels snug in toe.

Rated 5 out of 5áby BeansRegular Perfect Fit
I have a very boring but reliable size 8.5 M feet. If the shoes are exact size, they will fit well. I ordered these in 8.5 even though reviewers were recommending that we size up 1/2 size. I was happy to find out that these mules fit exactly to size. With a midweight sock, I slipped my feet in and these felt like they were custom made. I do like leather shoes to fit closely because they always stretch with time. The length was perfect with my toes just back from the front end. The arch support was more generous than in most LLBean shoes, which feels great and prevents my usual pronation. The width was also perfect with no rubbing or hot spots. They were comfortable for an extended wear in the house and are ready for their voyage outside. I am sure, from past experience with LLBean shoes that fit this well, that they will serve me very well. With them on, I forget that I have shoes on, and had to look down to see if I had put my slippers back on! If you are true to size, don't be afraid to order this attractive and comfortable shoe.

I just received the Nubuck slides, size 7.5 M. Fit is perfect. My normal size is 7 M. Would recommend ordering up a 1/2 size. Adorable , very comfortable shoe and a great buy for $16.99. (Flaw on left shoe but LL Bean customer service will send a replacement pair. )
Once again found a great product , hassle free exchange when you shop with L.L. Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5áby kelpen a treat for narrow feet!
Finally a pair of LLBean shoes that I can wear! These shoes are quite narrow and fit my foot well.
I normally wear a 9 narrow but I wear a 9.5 B in this shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5áby WestieNJ Great for narrow feet!
I have narrow feet and it's often hard to find shoes that don't slip around too much. These are great! I found myself reaching for these shoes when I finally had to put the sandals I wear all summer aside. The best thing about these slides is that they are comfortable without socks (I usually can't wear a 'real' shoe without socks). Makes the transition from summer sandals to winter shoes a little easier if I don't have to move to socks quite as quickly. The style is simple and clean and they are very comfortable. The pattern on the bottom of the sole is a cute touch as well. It did take 3 tries to get the right length but as always, LL Bean made that easy.

I purchased these slides about a month ago and initially was very excited about getting a comfy pair of professional looking slides for work.
I am a college educator, and stand up for long hours daily... so comfortable appropriate shoes are an absolute must! I am also a long time Bean customer, so I have to be honest and say that I am not pleased with this purchase.
I wanted these shoes to work... but they just don't live up to their expectations!
This shoe could be improved upon and made better I do believe.
The major problem I have with them is the stitching that runs through the middle on the tops... it literally feels like a knife slicing the top of my foot and overall has a very flimsy feeling! If the center stitching was gone, they wouldn't be so bad!
I plan to call customer service and explore my options about these shoes.
If they will take them back, I will happily return them. If not, I will stick them by the front door and use them to check the mail or let the cats in with. That is about as far as I can walk in them without experiencing the pain of the "Evil Stitching".
I did recently purchase the all new ?Comfort Clogs? in both black and brown? and they are absolutely awesome! I wear them to work every day and walk all around campus with no pain or problems what so ever. They are very professional looking with my suites, and I would recommend those, but these slides are not a good buy unless you are into foot pain.
