This is just what I needed for traveling. Works great. After seeing it in Bean I shopped around and they had the best price and free shipping, that was it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by shenagold Disappointed
I was very disappointed in the reliability of this product. It wasn't very accurate in the barometer reading and humidity. Altitude was fairly accurate one time but then not very accurate another time and that was comparing it to an actual reading made at the location. Compass had to be read upside down in order to get the direction. Date and time was okay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AOM35 A GREAT UNIT
I used the Weather Station on a recent hike. I found the altimeter matched my much more expensive GPS, and the hike was over a seven mile 4.000 foot elevation change The temperature was right on.
The #'s are large, the unit is light, and the way it's set upside down when hanging from a pack makes it very easy to read.
An excellent buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Camdennus Highgear Weatherport nice but too big
The Highgear Weatherport was just what I was looking for and appeared to work well, however, when received it was about two times larger than it appeared to be in the catalog. I wanted something to hang on my belt and it was too large.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tensi appealing yet unexciting
Appealing as an altimeter/barometer along with a graph of the barometric pressure changes.
Unexciting as a compass. It may vary as much as 20 degrees from the actual heading and try as you might, you cannot get it to stay calibrated.
Overall not a replacement for better tools.
