Rated 5 out of 5 by PollyPrissyPants Great Retro Plaids
I love the plaid versions of this dress and wear them often. In my usual size, the fit is comfortable and close enough to the body to wear without a belt. I did order regular rather than petite to make sure the dresses came to my knees, as they do (5"1'). The fabric is a great weight for an air conditioned office in hot weather with the sleeves rolled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Seattlejanie Darling dress, very summery
I decided to take a chance on this dress, glad I did. The fabric is light weight and I love madras. The turquoise print was on sale, I was afraid it might be a bit loud but its lovely. The contrasting color is a fuchsia (not a true red) so I don't look like the flag. Besides, madras summery prints do tend toward bright shades.
It fell very slightly above knee length, not too short on me (due to spine problems I have shrunk to 5'4". I ordered an 8 and it fits a bit loose, but will be fine even if it shrinks a bit. I weigh 130, and can fit in anything from an XS to the size 8 in LLbean, it can be a challenge to know what size to order.
With the sleeves rolled up this dress looks great. I will probably change the belt out to a braided leather, the tie isn't the best look - but easily fixed.

This dress in various patterns always gets compliments. It is cool for these 100 degree temperatures and continues to look fresh throughout the day. Please, though, we need some other colors - lavender, coral, peach, wine, etc. in this style.

I am 5' 9'' and 155 pounds. I bought the size 8 which fit perfectly. My complaint is that the dress is listed as 39" long, but it falls five inches above my knee, which is exactly where a 37.5" dress from another company falls. I have to wear that dress over tights because it's too short, but I can't do that with this one. It's a pretty dress, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it. I wish it came in a tall size!

This dress is so cute! The tailoring is excellent and the fit is perfect. It is beautiful! I bought a 4 and it fits great. I am 5'8 and 123 pounds. The material is soft and the weave is expensive feeling.

This dress is a great concept that is poorly executed. The camp green is fun enough to keep if only the dress didn't look cheap. That look might wash away, but since the cut of the dress is so slim and the length so short (exactly the same as on the model on my 5'2" frame), I returned it with regrets.

I bought the red and green version of this dress. I really like the classic look and the pattern is much redder than it appeared in the picture. I was afraid it might look Christmasy, but it doesn't. I normally buy petite pants, but the petite was way too short in this dress. The regular is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MistySF great modern take on traditional form
I love the idea of a shirt dress, but so many look matronly. This is perfect. It is straight cut, so buy it so fits on top, and wear with a belt. Hits just above the knee on me (5'7", size 8). The madras prints (I got the bright multi and golden sand) also feel modern.
This comes with a self belt, which is not mentioned in the description, but is shown in some of the pictures. However, it is cuter with a different belt, as shown in some other pictures.
I think this would be nicer if it had self belt loops that laid flat, instead of the thread loops that stick out and ruin the line and look cheap. I guess I'll remove them.
Love this dress. Will be cute as a dress, or with jeans on our cool summer nights.

The fabric feels very soft and comfortable, and I like the bright multi color. I give the dress 5 stars even though I am going to make some alterations to it. I am not sure about the long sleeves, maybe I will cut them off, and also I am going to make the dress a smaller size. According to the size chart I bought the size 6 regular, but it was too wide.I was not able to exchange it for a smaller size since in that color and length it was sold out.

I'm 5'1" and 115 pounds. I tried the 2P and it was way too short - lower mid thigh. Also tried the 2R and it was on top of my knee. The 2P runs tighter all through the dress and was a teeny bit snug but the 2R was very loose. I'm sending both back and am trying a 4P in hopes it will work. Dress is pretty but on the verge of stodgey...definitely needs something to "fashion" it up to look cute and not frumpy. I tried the aqua sandals but they hurt so I will wear with similar-like orange sandals that I own.
