Rated 5 out of 5 by Macgyver Overland belt
I purchased one of these belts along with a pair of zip off pants, and they are a perfect match. The belt is lightweight, never slips and can take some punishment especially when I go hiking. If there is a length issue with the belt being to long, just heat up a wide putty knife, and slice off the extra length you do not want. Recommended buy, especially at the sale price.

I ordered this, before the hurricane and it arrived today. The belt is wide yes and the end is cut straight and burnt on the end so you could adjust it to your own personal taste. The buckle is aluminum. The best part is it is made in the US. Now if we can get the components made in the US.

I've had it in black for a couple years and the brown one for about a year. It can take some attention to thread the belt through loops, but it's not much hassle. The buckle is super light weight (aluminum?) and is easy to thread and holds perfectly; it has never slipped. This belt doesn't get kinked where it gets buckled the way a leather belt does. Great, simple, design that is comfortable to wear.

I use this belt while hiking. I had a leather belt that stained my pants. This belt is the perfect replacement. I have no issues in getting the belt through the pant loops as noted by others.

A little wider than I expected, but fits this year's styles well. Buckle is sturdy, but does slip a little on use, but not a huge issue. A bit pricey, but not out of line with other suppliers.

I bought the old Bean nylon belts and they were great. The new ones are wider and have a metal buckle. The width can bind in some belt loops, but I haven't found any they won't fit. The plastic buckle on the old belt broke, and I had to give it up. The metal one won't do that. I am very happy with the new belts, and recommend them highly. They're comfortable and can be adjusted quickly.

I am very happy with this purchase. Some reviewers mentioned that the belt buckle slips- I did not have that problem at all AND they also mentioned the square end. The square end is a pain; however, it is made of nylon so I cut it into a 1/2 circle and then burned the edge to keep it from fraying. Took me under 60 seconds. I am a 36 waist and ordered a L. Plenty big so when I trimmed of the corners, I made it smaller too! To easy of a fix not to but the belt if you are looking for a non-leather belt (breathes).

This is a great belt and I wore it for an entire week of hiking in Acadia National Park. Picked this up on the way at the LL Bean Store in, yup, Freeport ME. The Overland Belt is just what I needed. Comfortable well design, flexible. While some have noted trouble passing the belt through loops due to the square end. I have found no problem with this belt. Threads easily through all my pants. Thanks LL Bean. I will be ordering another shortly.!

Very disappointed with this belt. I discarded it. Square ends make it hard to pass through belt loops. Very confusing buckle that will slip constantly. Poor quality material.

Bought this belt a few weeks ago as a gift to be used instead of a leather belt on shorts that were apt to get wet in the summer. It is being used all the time--so it must be comfortable and a good fit.
