Rated 4 out of 5 by cr006f Very comfortable but lace eyelet ripped out!
Have had these about a year. They're comfortable and have mostly had great support. They did pack in quite a bit over time though and the support isn't so super now.
One eyelet ripped out a month ago, the threads on the leather portion didn't hold. Timing is about right to buy a new pair anyway but I'm a little disappointed. Of all the different brand shoes like these I've owned (including LL Bean), none of them had a failure like that.

I'm trying to like these shoes but after a month I find them to be less comfortable than expected. First, the insole provided with the shoe was thin and did nothing for shock absorption - a shoe at this price range could do much better. The insoles were replaced with higher end inserts and at least they don't feel like I'm walking on a 1/4 sheet of plywood. The material for venting is there but with all of the trim being made of material that doesn't breath the shoes get hot pretty quick. They clean up O.K and dry in sunlight quickly. Bottom line, I would not buy another pair of these shoes.

Bought a half size larger to allow for orthotics, fits perfectly. Very good support and yet cooler for long hot days on jobsites. I am hard to please and these work well. Good value.

These are simply the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. This is my second pair. 'Nuff sed!

Super hiking shoes with a short break in period (a few hours should do it). While Bean's recommendation was to go a half size up, I find the non waterproof shoes to run pretty true to size. The waterproof versions seem to need that half size up to accommodate the extra lining. As usual Bean's staffers were very helpful in the ordering process.

As usual, the L.L. Bean shopping experience is one of a kind ? all stores should be like this. For me, Keen shoes have restored my faith in well-fitting, comfortable shoes. I usually wear them right out of the store. Great shoes!

These were one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn out of the box. After two weeks of wear I am starting to feel my left big toe bumping up against the front of the shoe slightly. I did debate whether to get the 11 or 11.5 when I first made the purchase and I should have went with the 11.5. But I think they are keepers anyway. So if you are between sizes consider 1/2 size up has been my experience however your mileage may vary..

I have purchased and worn Merrell Ventilators for 4 years now. I like the fact that they are ventilated and was very hesitant to try something new. I am glad that I did. These Keen, Voyageur Ventilator Hikers, are fantastic! My feet don't sweat in them. This is in part due to the fact that they are not waterproof. Waterproof shoes make my feet sweat. It doesn't matter what the manufacture says about them, they just do so I always buy non-waterproof shoes/boots. These Keens are more stable and fit better than the Merrell's. I have not had them long, only 2 weeks, so I can't say much as to the long time wear but they feel better and are much more stable. I am sure I will be able to tell soon on wear as they are now my go to pair.
