Bought a half size larger to allow for orthotics, fits perfectly. Very good support and yet cooler for long hot days on jobsites. I am hard to please and these work well. Good value.

Super hiking shoes with a short break in period (a few hours should do it). While Bean's recommendation was to go a half size up, I find the non waterproof shoes to run pretty true to size. The waterproof versions seem to need that half size up to accommodate the extra lining. As usual Bean's staffers were very helpful in the ordering process.

As usual, the L.L. Bean shopping experience is one of a kind ? all stores should be like this. For me, Keen shoes have restored my faith in well-fitting, comfortable shoes. I usually wear them right out of the store. Great shoes!

Rated 5 out of 5áby Farther Good hiking shoe
These were one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn out of the box. After two weeks of wear I am starting to feel my left big toe bumping up against the front of the shoe slightly. I did debate whether to get the 11 or 11.5 when I first made the purchase and I should have went with the 11.5. But I think they are keepers anyway. So if you are between sizes consider 1/2 size up has been my experience however your mileage may vary..

I have purchased and worn Merrell Ventilators for 4 years now. I like the fact that they are ventilated and was very hesitant to try something new. I am glad that I did. These Keen, Voyageur Ventilator Hikers, are fantastic! My feet don't sweat in them. This is in part due to the fact that they are not waterproof. Waterproof shoes make my feet sweat. It doesn't matter what the manufacture says about them, they just do so I always buy non-waterproof shoes/boots. These Keens are more stable and fit better than the Merrell's. I have not had them long, only 2 weeks, so I can't say much as to the long time wear but they feel better and are much more stable. I am sure I will be able to tell soon on wear as they are now my go to pair.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Ngare Ample room to grow into
These shoes seem to run a little long and a little wider than the actula size which was a 9.5 D. They would be perfect for a teenager to grow into except I am 61 so I don't think I need that space.

This pair of shoes is becoming a favorite of mine. Nice to have hiking shoes that are not waterproof (and hence sweaty).

Rated 5 out of 5áby Longbowmark Shoes purchased out of principle
My first pair lasted 4 years of tough use. I almost bought new ones from a competitor until I got to check out. During checkout they wanted me to pick a charity to donate a percentage of the sale to. The problem is, every charity choice was a radical anti-hunting organization.
Since I am a radical hunter and LL. Bean radically supports shooting and hunter sports, the logical step was to spend the extra $15.00 at LL. Bean and walk away satisfied! BRAVO
