Rated 5 out of 5áby Talame great for camping
This was a gift but also bought one for myself to use when we go camping by the ocean in July.

We bought the XL size since it was a couple of inches longer and wider than other towels labeled XL.
Pros: It does dry quickly, and it packs down pretty tightly. It's slightly larger than other towels labeled XL.
Cons: It appears to have snagged or something in one area, but it's still quite usable. The edges tend to curl in. Another microfiber towel we have has much wider selvages that solved curling edges problem.

I have 2 of these in XL. One is a year old and in great shape. They are soft and absorbant and fit easily into my gym or beach bag. I line dry them outside or indoors on a rack, and I have a clean, dry towel for the 4-5 trips to the pool each week. When my son came home for the summer, he created mountains of laundry by taking cotton bath towels to the gym. I bought him a couple of Tek Towels and wash them in cold water with similar colors. No more mountains or machine-drying. The XL does wrap around me, but I would love a little more coverage. The snap locker loop on the corner is useful. The Tek Towel makes a great gift for summer birthdays, especially in combination with the Lightweight Everyday Tote.

Rated 5 out of 5áby peaceflowers great towel
I got the largest one and it's great!
We use them for camping - they dry faster than regular towels, and this generous size is much better than the early version I've had for years which barely covers the essential parts if I'm moving around in a camp bathroom....
I also really like the wine/berry color...
If fast drying is important for you - I really recommend one,

Rated 4 out of 5áby HikerBikerSkier A quick-drying travel towel?
We bought two of these towels, one for each of us. We were looking for compact, absorbent, quick-drying alternatives to cumbersome, hard-to-dry beach towels for an upcoming trip through the Greek islands. We will be moving from hotel to hotel every other day or so and will need to dry beach towels and swim wear quickly, pack up and travel light. To gauge the drying time for these towels, we ran them through the washing machine (as recommended before use), and air-dried them in front of the wood stove, aided by a small fan. They took 4 hours to dry. I did not conduct a side-by-side comparison with a conventional towel, so I don't know if these towels dried faster than conventional towels. They do pack up very compactly, and we are looking forward to using them on our trip this summer.

Rated 4 out of 5áby SwimmerinRealClothes Very Practical. Excellent purchase.
I read all the reviews before purchasing. There were some complaints about bleeding. I purchased two towels, one in berry and one in blue. I washed them prior to use and there was little if any dye in the wash water. I was a little thrown by the terry material but it absorbs water as soon as touches the skin. It took about 15 minute to air dry after use. I swim frequently and these towels work and travel well. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because I wish the XL towel were a little wider. I plan to purchase more in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5áby WearLLBeanAboveAll Soft and light!
I purchased this towel as sort of a gift to myself; anything to help keep me on track to getting to the gym without any excuses; I take water aerobics twice a week.
It is large, light, very soft, super absorbent, and dries really quickly, especially if hung near a heat vent in the bathroom. It also happens to be my favorite color - but I'd love it even if it weren't. I liked it so much I got one for my daughter. I will be getting one in each size, for each of us, for our summer camping trips as well.

It is soft and picks up the moisture well. Also dries quickly after use. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars as it is not as compact as the microfiber backpacking towel Bean used to carry that I was trying to replace.

Rated 2 out of 5áby displacedAlaskan Not what I hoped for.
It is my fault for not looking closer at the picture but this is micro terry and not the microfiber towel I was hoping for. It is more like the ones you get for cleaning and isn't as compact as I hoped it could be. I was looking to get a "pretty" one to use like my husband's microfiber towel he uses. His are tactical ones and come in olive green and tan only. This type while pretty in color does not dry the body as quickly or dry after using very quickly. If you want pretty get this. If you want a functional quick drying and very compact storing and don't care what it looks like, search for the tactical microfiber towels.
I'll keep this for a backup to use in our storm shelter but it won't be an everyday camping, hiking, workout towel like I hoped it would.

Rated 1 out of 5áby MizRainbow Bleeds Color
I wanted to make sure the berry towel didn't bleed color onto other items in the laundry, and it's highly inconvenient to have to watch so carefully when it can damage so many other items in the wash. I soaked it and of course the water was full of dye. I soaked it again, and there was no less dye in the second soaking. The label warns about this, but I didn't dream it would be so full of residual dye. Normally polyester and nylon don't give these problems. I'm very disappointed that LLBean and Sea & Summit would put their good name on this product.
