Ordered these in Black Coffee and Grey Heather for my daughter, who just got a teaching job for next fall. She is very particular about clothing, and didn't even like them til I insisted she try them on -- then, she was sold. They look professional, fit like a dream, are machine wash and dryable, and are well made (Bean quality -- thanks!).

I've had this skirt (in black) for well over a year now. As I recall, I paid $99 for it (!) which seemed crazy at the time but it was such a comfy fabric (and I had a gift certificate). Wear it at least once a week. Washes well (I machine wash in cold on the gentle cycle, hang to dry), has never needed ironing. I was a bit skeptical when I first bought it - no lining - but the fabric is thick enough that there's no "show through." After NUMEROUS washings, the fabric shows no signs of pilling or fading. Hope they restock the brown in my size soon! (and maybe add navy?)

This skirt I give a 4 1/2 to as the zipper is sticky on this one as well..I had the first in black but the fit was too small so now grey is the colour I have but both zippers were not functioning properly! I am petite and this skirt is a size 10 so order up as they run small..I began with a size 6 but it was too small in the waist .. the material is lovely and the texture and weight of the fabric is perfect for me. the style is modern and it falls at mid knee which is perfect as well..I am 5' 2".... there are belt loops for a belt which adds interest. I would say this is one sytlish and necessary item for a woman`s wardrobe..good for you once again L.L.Bean.. good quality and style and not ancient looking!!

I bought this skirt in the gray color, which is really versatile. However, I was expecting this skirt to be lined. It seems really cheap without it. I expected more quality from LL Bean. It's going back even before Christmas.

This is a great skirt. The material is a comfy, heavy cotton and the cut is very flattering--fits close but doesn't show bulges. The size 6 fit perfect (5'4" 122 lb.). I now have all three colors. The black and brown are perfect for work and dining out. However, as another reviewer mentioned, the grey has a sweatshirt look which I find too casual for work, but it sure looks nice when I'm running errands. I highly recommend this skirt.

This skirt is true to size. I am about 5'3'' and weigh 137. I ordered a size 6 petite and it fit perfectly. I have had good success with the Signature line, the clothes are much more stylish and feminine than the traditional LLBean women's clothing line. The quality of this skirt excellent and it wears well throughout the day. I am ordering another one in black.

After a trial & error with sizes (10, then 8, now 6), I love this skirt. The size (6) is a perfect fit - waist, hips, length. I'm an athletic build and fit - 5'4" and ~138lbs. The material is soft and appears to be wrinkle resistant (yeah for travel!). The fit comfy (not binding anywhere), and the style is professional. I just ordered this in the 'brown' and black. I hope the sizes hold true between colors!

At 5'1" and somewhat heavier than I want to be due to illness, I ordered a size 10 in petite and it is perfect for my needs. It hits just at the bottom of my knee-not too short and not too long. As I write this, I am wearing my skirt. I was going to go to a birthday gathering but a tornado warning changed my mind so here I am and I look marvelous typing in my new skirt. It fit's beautifully, it is really comfortable, I don't look (yikes!) fat and it will still look good when I lose ten or more pounds from now. Signature items tend to be off usually, like blouses have six buttons instead of seven (almost always a no-no) and then odd gapping occurs at the chest and ribcage or skirts swell out in odd ways. I have a pile of things to return which is cheaper than returning them one by one. It's still $6.50 under 70 pounds for shipping. I got that piece of information from an LLBean associate. But this skirt is with me for good. Thanks LL!

I love this skirt. It is super flattering and comfortable. It goes with everything and can even be thrown into the washer! Looks great with boots, wedges, pumps, and ballets. First I ordered the dark blown and I liked it so much I also ordered the black. I think the fit is true to size. For reference, I am 5'4", 112lb, and I ordered the 2P. I also tried the 0P, but it looked more clingy than I like.
