Rated 3 out of 5 by RidesLikeAGirl Odd fit
Normally in cycling gear I'm a small, sometimes an XS. From LLBean I'm either and XS or (the newly available) XXS. For reference I'm 5'4", 107 pounds. I ordered this in a small. It fits my hips (35.5") perfectly but just gets bigger as it goes up. The belly is big enough that if I were leaning over the handlebars it poofs out. The chest is enormous, and the sleeves are big enough to fit my legs. It is quite long for a cycling jacket too. Fully covers my bottom.
It's good quality, slightly yellower than the internet picture, but I sent it back because it just doesn't fit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 2CKCS Beautifully crafted, horibly sized
This cycling jacket is beautifully manufactured with attention to detail. It offers wonderful features. Too bad it is sized so poorly. I read the other reviews and decided to "order up" a size to a large. I have purchased other jackets from LL Bean and usually order a medium for layering. I ten to have rather large arms and shoulders and narrower hips. This item is huge in the upper body and ridiculously "slim" in the waist/hip area. I could not wear it......
Suggest altering the cut and adding a two way zipper. The color is also ot as represented...but better.

This jacket is not cut for a womans body even though it is sold as one. I normally wear S/M and I had to buy an XL just to fit around my hips! ( and I am not a big woman)so make sure to try it on or buy big. Also, the jacket is far from waterproof so don't expect to use this as your only rain layer on a ride.
As a windbreaker it is great. It is a highly visible color (with reflective strips) and the vest option is also great. So all in all it is just okay.

I'm 5'6" and 190 lbs so clearly not slim, but I couldn't even zip this across my hips. I'm a size 14. So for anyone close to my size--which evidently is large--don't order this. This was a very rare return for me.

Not all bike riders are 21 and thin! I am 66, in good shape, ride 40-50 miles a week in season, but not even the x-large jacket would zip comfortably over my hips! Yikes! Come on designers....make something for the average lady rider please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by VABiker Great Jacket
I bought this jacket for cycling. I ordered the size small and it fits well. I'm 5'4" and weigh 112 lbs. It isn't too tight across the hips. I haven't had to wear it biking yet since the temperatures are nice. I love the color (Freshwater blue) and look forward to riding in it when the temps are cooler.

I have not worn this jacket biking, but I tried it out walking my dog on a 55 degree day with a light wind. It was perfect. The fabric is soft and feels good next to your skin, cuts the wind, but is breathable. The jacket is well designed with numerous pockets and has the added advantage of zip-off sleeves. It fits over a light t-shirt or turtleneck and is a flattering style. I am 5'5" and weigh 120 lbs. and the medium is a perfect fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by OffTrailHiker Beautiful & well-made but small around the hips
I love this jacket in most every way but it is too tight in the hips. Since I am on a weight loss program, I am close to being the right size to fit into this. However, I wonder if then the top will be too big.
It is very clever the way the sleeves zip off and the style is very cute and flattering (other than the hip tightness).
I might have to return this if at the point the hips fit, the top is too baggy. Will have to see.
If you do not have any hips to speak of, you will be fine in your usual size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nmelk3 Measurements for the Large
I usually wear a medium, but I thought the large would be a better choice in this item based on the reviews. I was right! First, the color is more yellow & less green than pictured here. Second, the chest & hips are NOT the same size.
I zipped the jacket & laid it flat for these measurements. In the large, the armpit to armpit is 21", the "waist" (narrowest part) is 19", and the "hips" (bottom hem) are 20". The front is 22.5" from base of collar to bottom; the back is 27.5". The arm is 29" collar to cuff along the top and 21" armpit to cuff. With the sleeve removed, it's 5.5" collar to edge of shoulder. The back pocket is 10" wide (9.5" useable) & 7" deep, and the 9" zipper is 10" up from the bottom. With the attached straps in the pocket, there's not a lot of room. I haven't used it.
I wore it over 1 polypro & 1 long-sleeved t-shirt in 40-degree weather & was very comfortable. I'm not sure how it will be in hot weather yet.
I just wish it came in petite sizes! The "waist" does not hit me at the waist and the back hangs down halfway to my knees.

Great color, runs small so order one size larger than you normally wear, awesome versatility and good price for what you are getting. Love it!
