Rated 5 out of 5áby yabadabadoo roomy bag
Much better than a mummy bag, but I don't like my legs scrunched together. Great loft and down. Haven't been in 20 degree weather, but was plenty warm at 40 degrees just wearing boxers. I think it would have no problem at 20-30 degrees inside a tent, if not wear a shirt and sweats.

I'm one of those folks who can not sleep in mummy bags but took up backpacking. After loads of wasted research I finally found this bag from LL bean. The bag is very comfortable and fits even the small bag compartment on my wifes Osprey pack. We have not had to test the 20 degree rating but based on the quantity and quality of the down I would figure it has a fair chance. The only small issue is the size of the openning just barely fits my shoulders, however all the competing bags I looked at that could be used for backpacking were the same or smaller. I am 6 foot and broad built so may not be an issue for most. So far great bag and love LL Bean service.

I love this bag! I also have the 0 degree version and I got this one for my wife. Although I've yet to try it they are suppose to zip together which will be nice when we camp together. Then we can choose which one to use on top depending on how cold it is. Even the 20 degree bag has a lot of loft and seems to have more loft then my 15 degree EB square down bag. They pack up small, they are light weight and the interior material is really comfortable. We even open it up and use it for a down comforter over our bed. It's by far the best square end down bag I've ever had. Highly recommend them! Ours came with a large storage bag and a stuff sack. My only disappointment was the stuff sack was kind of a cheap one and all my other down bags came with compression stuff sacks which allow you to really pack it small. But I didn't want to reduce the rating because of this when you can just buy a good compression stuff sack online and then you're good to go.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Stihl029 Soft and comfortable
Recently got back from a canoeing trip to the Adirondacks for 3 nights. We were using a 115L wet bag, and everything had to fit in it for numerous portages we were going to have to make, so space was at a premium. This sleeping bag was perfect in that it packed down to a nice size, was comfortable and very warm. No problem putting it back in the sack it came with, something that's a challenge with most bags. Looking forward to taking it on multi-day hikes and more canoe trips.

Rated 5 out of 5áby zimmereddie nice bag!
This is my first down bag, and I love how comfortable it is. We've had "Bean" bags before, though they were synthetic, comfortable, and light enough, the down seems to breath better.
I would recommend it highly!

After 25 years of our previous LLBean bags that zip together, we decided to get another set in down?.this time after I researched tons of other brands. We are so happy with these.
Rectangular, beautiful, cheerful, not drab color excellent bags. my husband got the 0 degree and I got the 20. When its cold out his bag goes on top?. As for our old bags?.still in great shape :) These products go on forever! And the zip together feature is wonderful.
The bags are quite light weight!

Rated 5 out of 5áby MorningMist Excellent sleeping bag
I've used this in the 20s and was comfortable. I love everything about this bag. Spacious, nice fabrics, warm, light in comparison to warmth. I don't find Downtek useful and it adds to the weight. In 40 years of camping, backpacking, and kayak camping, I've never had a wet sleeping bag, and I think the industry's assumption that we're worried about water is inaccurate. It's just not that difficult to keep a sleeping bag dry.
Want a system that will keep you warm through 4 seasons? Get this bag plus the 35-degree semi-rectangular bag. Use the 20 in spring and fall and the 35 in summer. Put the 35 inside the 20 in winter. I did that and was hot at 5 degrees above zero, meaning you could use that combination below zero. This is a flexible sleeping system that will save you having to get a separate zero bag. Too heavy for backpacking---total 5 lbs--- but would work if you pull a sled in the winter.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Montana78258 Quite warm
This bag is rated to 20 degrees F and would probably be comfortable in the 20-30 degree condition. It is a bit snug in the shoulders for my 5-10", 180 lb size, but did allow adaquate room to roll over. Construction is excellent, very compact and light to transport.
It proved to be too warm for cabin sleeping in temperatures of 45-55 degrees F but then it was rated for 20 degrees, my mistake. If I was a tent camper in the southern U.S. it would be excellent and I would recommend it.
