Rated 5 out of 5 by Mersenne Classic & Trendy
How does LLBean manage to make summer clothes that are both classic and trendy? This shirt delivers.
I ordered the aqua. It's very pretty but not girly. It fits fine. So far, I've washed this shirt twice, in cold water only, and laid it flat to dry. No noticeable shrinking with this cleaning method.
My one complaint isn't about the shirt but about its description. Why can't Bean give us the length of this shirt? As a tall woman with a long torso, "past the hip" doesn't mean the same to me as it does to someone of average build. Please, we need the length of the shirts we buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Phoneloser Well made, great fit
The colors on this shirt are really pretty. I have the aqua. It is a medium weight cotton. I ordered a large Petite which is roomy. I am 5'2" and busty but it's not tight and has a slight shape-- comfortable but not boxy. The boat neck is flattering. This is a shirt I could wear all year round. Mine was made in Peru with washing instructions in Spanish and Chinese.

I love this top. The colors I preferred were already sold out, so will order earlier next year. I found it to run pretty true to size. It washes well and had no shrinkage. I do not put my clothes in the dryer, but hang it to dry and touch up with an iron. It really doesn't need to be ironed, but I am fussy about wrinkles.

This is a very nice shirt. It is a little heavier than your usual T-shirt and runs a little bit larger.
I love the length ( I hate short T's). It is well worth the price and I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of it.
It laundered very well....no shrinkage or fading.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NHGlove It runs small and feels like it would shrink
I loved this top on but I was sure it would shrink. It reminded me of the old LL Bean tops, well made and substantial but something about the material just told me it was going to shrink, even if I air-dried it. Originally, I had ordered two colors, each in XL.
I've gained some weight due to a health condidtion so I returned those tops for one in size 1X. Neither my husband nor I could see one iota of difference in the fit, thus it will go back with the first shirts.
I've been an LL Bean customer for ages, and I can always tell when a shirt is going to shrink.

Well I have to return this shirt because the boat neck is too wide even though I ordered petite. Should have realized this since I usually have this problem with boat necks. I gave it a higher rating because the knit, fabric and color are very nice and on the right person, would look nice. If you have nice broad shoulders this would look nice, however, petite ladies it's a little long and wide even in the petite size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by meid Nice but hesitant
The shirt is very nice, good quality, and fits really well before the 1st wash. I really want to love this shirt. However, I'm hesitant to give it even 3 stars because I'm expecting it to shrink. I shop at LL Bean for a LOT of other clothes for my family but shirts for me rarely work because I find they ALL shrink significantly after a couple washes. I might be a sucker again for trying another shirt. I find a lot of nice shirts at LL Bean and always hope it'll work out well. I wash all my clothes on gentle cycle, dry on gentle cycle only enough to take most of the wetness out of them and then hang to fully dry (unless item is not suppose to see a dryer at all).
You just can't buy shirts based on how you think they will shrink. With the reputation of LL Beans and the high quality of most other products I expect them to know how to either describe how their shirts will shrink after washing it based on their laundering recommendations, or make sure their items are preshrunk so the sizing info is accurate.
Let's hope they got this one right and even if they don't, their great return policy will take care it me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ilovecotton it's cute, but......
It's a cute looking shirt and fabric is lovely. I ordered a small because I'm somewhere inbetween a small and medium when it comes to tunic tops and I'm not tall enough for most tunics. I'm
thinking maybe a medium petite would have been a better fit. I'm
finding the boat neck a bit too wide...The length is fine for a tunic
and not boxy like some have described. I feel for a small because
the fabric isn't very stretchy that the sleeves aren't so much tight
as someone has mentioned but a bit short under the arms...pulling
the sleeves up close and tight underneath the arms. The arms
fit fine on me. I'm 5'2" tall and hesitated before keeping this shirt,
not sure if I truly loved the way it fit or just the cute striped pattern. I think I like the look of this shirt better than the fit..which
is why I've only given it 3 stars.

This is one of the most well-made shirts I've ever purchased! The fit is perfect, the length is just what I'd hoped it would be, and the colors are luscious. (For the record: I'm 5'6", 135 lbs, and I bought a "Large" to assure a casual, relaxed fit. I've always been told I look good in aqua, and this "Tidal Blue-Jadeite-White" was a nice mix of colors for me. Other flattering features are the boatneck neckline and the 3/4 length sleeves. All in all a great purchase!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Appleblossom Lovely fabric, comfortable
I have the white with blue stripes and one red stripe. It's long, conceals all bumps and lumps, fits loosely around my hips even over jeans. The fabric hangs well, doesn't cling at all. It comes through the wash very well -- no shrinkage. It's nice for spring, probably a bit warm for sunny summer days in northern NM, but I really like it. I'm ordering the navy, too.
