Rated 4 out of 5 by Kris59 Great Suit!
I was looking for a suit that would fit and look flattering and found it with this suit. I read the other reviews and realized that the size 8 suit would probably fit even though I normally wear a smaller size. I'm 59 yrs. old, 5' 1", 110 lbs. This suit fit well, the bra padding is not in the way, although I don't really need any help there! It does not stretch when dry, but it was still easy to get on. The leg opening is a tad too big, but not enough to cause me any problems. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elicia Good fit
This suit fits a large-busted woman with excellent coverage and support. I normally wear a size 6 suit but the 8 was the ideal size for me. I am going to be comfortable in this suit swimming, snorkeling and windsurfing. I just ordered my second one in a diferent color. Thanks LLBean!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Simpleelegance Sturdy and attractive, no compromises
This suit is the one I have sought. Attractive, great fit and durable for my daily water treading and aerobics. This suit does it all, looks great and lasts in chlorine and long sessions in the water. Perfect for snorkeling too, no danger of slipping off when you remove your wetsuit. 5'6" 124 took size 10 in this, fits snug, no sagging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Antsy Great, dual-purpose suit for me, but....
This is an odd suit, perfect for me, but not for everyone. First, after reading the reviews, I ordered up a bit (I'm a 10/12); the 12 was fine. The front lining is almost like a shaper - very firm, holding in the tummy. Also, a bit tight across the bust, with soft cups (fine for my small chest). It's somewhat hard to squeeze into (especially the 1st time), but once on, it's fine. Plus, it loosens up in the water, and over time. (However, it is almost impossible to pull it on if it's wet.) I took it on a snorkeling vacation and found it both flattering and functional. I liked not having to pack both a boring lap suit and a "nicer" suit for my vacation. I love the color and design. So, if you're looking to improve your shape a bit, and flatten your tummy, and you don't have large chest or hips, it might be the dream suit for you, too. I haven't worn it more than 5-6 times in chlorinated water, but so far, so good (at home, I always rinse my lap swimming suits in fresh water with an aquarium chlorine-removal product added).

Rated 1 out of 5 by lifetimeswimmer Too Tight!
I wear a 10L or 12L normally. This suit would only fit someone triangle shaped (no hips). I am 5'8", 138 lbs. I could barely squeeze it on-couldn't wait to get it off. I exchanged the 12L for a 14L- too big around the legs, but still difficult to pull over my hips. Chlorine resistant material has less stretch- I suggested a zipper in the back. The length was perfect, the color nice, so I was very disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FLlapswimmer LIKE MOST ABOUT SWIM SUIT
My first suit from Bean. Had to have lap suit. Love the back cut and the wide cross straps. Front cut and material very good. Nice reinforcement across the front. True to size. Only complaint is the buttocks and back legs portion is not reinforced like front---material rather thin-- and the back legs fit slightly loose which will cause ride up after some swims & flip turns. If this complaint could be fixed then I think this would be a perfect lap suit. Would like to suggest some lap suits that have the angled different color insert up each side of the front as this makes the figure look better. Must say overall this suit is superior to any of the most popular lap suits I've ordered lately, so hope Bean will keep up with the lap suits listening to the lap swimmers for suggestions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Movin2ME Could barely get it on
I ordered this suit because I wanted one that would last for months of lap swimming and it is advertised as having fabric that will hold up. The regular tank suit I ordered last time fit great but got thin too fast. I just tried this racerback suit on. I am pear-shaped (wear a 10 long) and was nearly unable to get it on, and then struggled to get it off. I feared tearing it. While there was enough coverage over my full hips, when I bent over it rode up. I really liked the color and the fit, but it is too hard to get on and off. The back of the suit might stay in place once it's wet but I want it to stay when dry, too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Barbara51 Lap SwimSuit
I had purchased a lap swimsuit from LL Bean about 4 years ago that I loved. I was thrilled to see they were once again offering a lap suit. Ordered 2 of them. Material seem good but the suit was way too small. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mcinma A great lap suit
I received my suit a couple of weeks ago and like it so well that I've just ordered another in a different color to keep in reserve. I've been looking for a good polyester lap suit in my size, but they are hard to find. My previous polyester suits each gave at least 3 years of frequent pool swimming, which is a lot longer than I have gotten from any suit with spandex. True, polyester does not stretch as much as spandex, so ordering a size up may help. However, I love the snugger fit, and the look is very flattering. The back and straps work great for active swimming. I would prefer no internal bra cups (despite being busty), because the top holds you in place pretty well without them. Anyway, I'm happy with this suit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MarissaMN Freakishly unstretchy fabric
The fabric barely stretches at all, and the suit in the size I usually buy is the right length but way, way, way too tight. I kept checking the description to see if it's meant to be a "slimming" suit, but it doesn't say that anywhere. I'll be returning it and not buying another. Very disappointing.
