I have been looking for the perfect cut, perfect length, and perfect fit jeans skirt for a few years now. I finally took a chance on this one. I was a little worried because I have long legs, but it is exactly where I would want it to hit.....just over the top of my knee, so not too short for a mature woman. The skirt is very comfy with just the right amount of stretch, and the waistband couldn't be more comfortable. I was planning on wearing this skirt a lot this summer, and now I know that I will. I wish it came in khaki, because I'd order it in a heartbeat.

The cut of this skirt is a bit full for the style. This probably wouldn't pose a problem if I didn't prefer to wear my tops out, but when I do, it causes the front of the skirt to bunch in an unflattering way.

Nice fabric and the length is just right for me - at the top of the knee. I am 5'7 & 150 lbs. Ordered size 12 and found the waist much too small even with the elastic. Ordered up one size for a 14 and it is just perfect. Liked it so much I have ordered it in the khaki - will be my go-to skirts this spring and summer. Looking forward to taking one with me to Paris soon. Only caution is unless you have a very tiny waist you may want to go one size up.

Love the fabric - very soft right out of the package. The length is good, but the waist is weird. I'm 5' 7", 150 lbs, and the fit is OK in a size 12 except the way it goes from hip to waist makes me look ... bulgy? I bought the Camden skirt in a 12 at the same time, and it fits great.

This skirt washed well, I did air dry and it did need some ironing. It fits well and is very comfortable; the length is right at the knee, so modest but not frumpy! I highly recommend this skirt.

Amazing skirt, definitely my new favorite. Perfect for a curvy figure - the stretch waist eliminates the waist gap that I often get in a skirt that fits in the hips. Please make in some other winter fabrics, such as washable wool.

I have always had at least one short khaki or stone skirt in my summer wardrobe, and the last one was definitely worn out after several years. This skirt does not look as smooth as it does in the main photo. There are several vertical seams and I found they really need to be well ironed to look close to tidy.
I'm 124lbs and 5'8" and the size 6 fitted well at the waist and fell to just above the knee. However, the fit is really not a fit - more like a sack and not at all shapely. Not sure what the spandex is doing. The elastic waist was excellent and very comfortable. I'm wearing this today, but only at my casual office. Not something I would wear if I wanted to look smart.

Finally. A casual skirt with the look of a pencil skirt. Trim without being binding and not too long and dowdy-looking.
I got the whalebone which does have a slight khaki tinge to it. I like the color. It will take me into fall and beyond. I am 5"8" and 155 lbs. and the size 12 fits comfortably.

Loved everything about this skirt but the too tight waist. The quality is excellent, the fit everywhere but the waist was perfect but the waist band, even though it's elestic, was uncomfortable. There isn't enough give in the elastic.
Returned it for a larger size but am worried that it will be too big in the hips. It's worth trying anyway.

I bought this skirt in both "Flint" (very pale grey) and "Dark Plum," and I love the fit. The style is simple -- pockets!!!! -- but as with many Bean skirts, it's an inch or two shorter than I am willing to wear. The good news is that the raw edge at the bottom is turned up an inch+ twice. I was able to rip out the machine-stitched hem, finish the raw edge, and re-hem with only one fold. I'm wearing the flint skirt as I type. After careful pressing and going through the washer/dryer once after my alteration, I can see a faint "pressing line" with tiny "dots" from the stitching at the original hem site. Frankly, it looks like a purposeful design feature, so I'm calling it a success. :) I expect with continued washings/dryings it will disappear. So, good job LL Bean with having a generous hem allowance, but even better I'd appreciate you paying attention to the many customers who don't wish to show their kneed when they sit down. Customers, give the review a "like" if you agree.
