Rated 5 out of 5 Substantial
A substantial feeling sheet replacing 280 percale. I upgraded from 280 to this 400 and am glad. The 400 feels more "substantial" is the only word that comes to mind. But, to me, worth the extra price considering how long these flat sheets are expected to perform.

This is a review for the flat solid color sheets.
These sheets are about the best you can get. Probably improved by 10 or more washings. The high threat count adds a bit of stiffness but if your used to good sheets you enjoy it. I don't know if they wrinkle I use two flat sheets and tuck them in firmly.. Expensive but I believe 20 years plus is the life expectancy.

They were scratchy and not worth the price. I saw they were made in Portugal and have other sheets made there that are really nice but not these ones. Did not like the color sea ice, sort of dirty grey looking. I will be returning these. However I do like the LL bean /sun washed parcel sheets though. Nice and crisp and a great value at half the price so I will be ordering these instead.

I already have the pale blue set of these sheets and pillow cases in king size. My husband is very fussy about his sheets and he loves these - they are super smooth and soft. The fitted sheet has really deep sides which is great as it gives plenty of room to fit over a mattress cover. They are well made and generously sized - so no stretching to try and get them to fit at the corners.
This time I ordered the vintage green king set of sheets and pillow cases. The color is a much lighter green than in the picture on the website - but I prefer the actual color as it is a really nice relaxing pale green.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 1saavyshopper Sheets are not sized properly
These sheets seemed somewhat satisfactory, until I actually slept. My mattress is a pillow top regular king. It measures 80 inches across and 13.5 inches deep, which equals 107 inches total. I was able to just barely tuck the top sheet in, while the bottom sheet was very loose. Once in the bed, it was very uncomfortable. The bottom sheet was much too loose, while the top sheet was so small that my husband and I kept pulling the sheets off of each other every time we moved. LLBean, please do some math when accepting the sizing of the sheets you plan to sell. Someone with a deep pocket 17 inch mattress may have a better experience with the bottom sheet, but will never be able to tuck in the top sheet. It is like sleeping in an unmade bed.....and I would like to be able to make my bed properly. Please compare the size of your sheets to the size of mattresses allowing to enough room to tuck in the top flat sheet with extra inches to account for a person in the bed. I have older sheets that do not have this problem.....Have manufacturers and retailers forgotten how to size bedding? LLBean I hope you will hold the manufacturers accountable.

i have been searching for good percale sheets for a while. These are good sheets, but the colors are way off. I purchased the bluegrass. They are a light grayish blue. In fact, they match a cotton twill blanket I bought from LLBean in "blue Ice".. The fabric is a little rough to the touch, but these sheet launder well, with minimal wrinkling. The bottom sheet fits well with room to spare; my mattress measures 13 inches. The hem on the top flat sheet is a bit narrow. The sheets are simple, yet nice. The top flat sheet really needs to be wider. I am able to barely tuck the sheet in, but when a person is in the bed, there is no way that the sheets will stay tucked in and they pull off easily while sleeping. .A flat sheet for a king size bed should measure at least 114 inches - minimum - in width. I do not consider these to premium percale, compared to percale manufactured years ago. With that said, these seem to be durable sheets and look nice despite the issues with color. I'd like to see a wider hem on the flat sheet and more color choices as well as a better system of selecting options that are true to color.

I received these sheets and immediately washed so that I could put them on the bed. To me they did not wrinkle as badly as some reviewers had said, came out of the dryer quite nicely. The color bluegrass is pretty, but has that slightly grey cast. They are also slightly scratchy. I am keeping the ones that I bought but canceling what was on back order. I am hoping that they soften up with time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LexiMA I love these sheets
I've had these sheets in sea ice for 6 months now. My husband and I both love them. They are excellent quality. They are sturdy and soft to the touch. They feel crisp, like good percale should. I really like that they are made in Portugal. They are definitely worth the price.
As far as color goes, we find the "sea ice" color to be beautiful. It's off white, in just the right way. I've just received a second set in "bluegrass" color - it too is beautiful, blue-ish with a subtle green tone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by lfox18 Egyptian cotton sheets
I wanted Egyptian cotton so I thought these would be great. I also wanted pure white sheets - not usually a hard thing to find. The only color that looked close was something called "Sea Ice". I've seen sea ice and glacial ice. It is starkly white. So I took a chance and ordered the sea glass. They are not white. They look white on the website. But they are more like an eggshell color. Bean sheets last forever. Too long to not have exactly the color you want. I bet they are great sheets - but they don't have white. I returned this item.

This is a defective product. Once washed, it looks horrible because of the wrinkling. Do not buy unless you iron your sheets. There should be an alert about this in the description. Very, very disappointing especially for the price which is too expensive.
