I really wanted a jean jacket, unfortunately of late, like so many LLBean jackets ordered (and returned), the arm holes are cut narrow. This creates snug-fitting shoulder (back and front). As an active person, I want to be able to move, I'm not a fashion mannequin. Other than that, it's detailed and well-made, but I don't need another unwearable jacket in my closet. Sadly, it went back. Sigh... : (

have ordered many items from ll bean and purchased many from the store. but i have to say this is not a jacket at all. the lyocell material is very flimsy and does not hold a shape. if you lay it down and try to pick it back up it just slips around as you are grabbing it, and you have to find the collar. i thought lightweight was going to be a thinner denim, but it is more like a rayon. sending this back.

This is a nice weight, great fabric and classic design. I looked forward to its arrival, and to wear right away. Unfortunately in trying on, forward arm movement was greatly restricted; the jacket fit perfectly everywhere else. I do not have oversized upper arms. Returning. Very disappointed.

This is not a tight fitting jean jacket. It is a comfortable jean-look jacket that is not boxy at all (for me). It has shape because of the princess seaming but is not tight. I have an average petite figure and purchased this in PS. The white is perfect for warmer weather wear. I also like that the side pockets are sewn in such a way that they additionally create an inside pocket that is perfect for a cell phone. Nice little design detail! Also, it holds up in the wash nicely. A perfect spring jacket for every day use.

I love the weight of this Chambray-like fabric. The new Lyocell fibre will make it very easy-care. I ordered this in size Small Petite rather than my usual medium as I find that Bean's sizing has become more generous over the past few years. I find the fit is perfect, not too boxy for a less-casual look suitable for the office. I recently wore it with a skirt to work and got a few compliments. You can't go wrong with this classic look and I can't wait for spring to arrive to pair it with lighter weight slacks and dresses. Thanks for continuing to offer a wide range of clothing in Petite sizes.

I ordered the white to go with everything. I also wish there were more colors. I received the jacket yesterday and it was wonderfully made. I didn't find it boxy at all nor did I feel that the shoulders were too tight. I am always a L in L.L.Bean clothing. And, I am a "normal" L in that I am not overly endowed nor straight up and down. I think some that thought this fit was not right for them have maybe not ordered enough L.L.Bean clothing to figure out the sizing. But, this was a great fit for someone that normally wears a L. I felt like a had to write a review on this one since it appears that some are complaining about the fit. I think it's a GREAT fit!

I am in the market for a jean jacket and was hoping this was it. I liked the fabric, but for me the jacket was too tight across the back and upper arms when I moved my arms. It fit otherwise, so I didn't want to order a larger size. Also, the color is not the saturated denim show online. Also, as the other reviewer said, it's kind of boxy through the body.

I loved the feel and softness of this jacket, however, it is too boxy even when I moved the button tabs on the waistband. I have a fairly straight figure and like things more fitted to give me some shape. If you could make this more fitted it would be the perfect jean jacket! When I looked at the cost of the jacket and the cost to tailor it, I decided to send it back.
