These are pretty but uncomfortable to sleep on. They are not crisp and not even soft, more limp. You can get the same feel from far less expensive sheets. Don't buy these if you want crisp cotton.
I prefer crisp sheets and had been satisfied with the sand dollar percale and after that the whale print. I thought these would be similar high quality but appear to be high thread count of thin thread. Years ago higher thread count, (less than 200) indicated durable, crisp sheets but now perhaps because the new mills produce thinner threads the measurement is meaningless. It seems the crisp percale is far less available as they routinely sell out.

I was very enthusiastic when I saw this item in the LLB catalogue, so I ordered what I hoped would be a smooth non-abrasive sheet. We have looked and looked all over for a nice bottom sheet for our queen bed. Of course we washed them before making the bed, but after the 1st night, I thought they felt rough and scratchy. Anyway, after 2 more washings and a hopeful me that they would get softer, it did not happen. So they are going to be returned to LLB. I hope that LLB takes notice and if they are going to sell sheets, they should be of better quality.

These sheets laundered well, and at first glance seemed to be very nice. These are deep pocket sheets, which is not clearly stated in the details. My double pillow top mattress measures 13.5 inches. After sleeping in them one night, the bottom sheets was a mess and in disarray. Couple that with the fact that the top flat sheet is not wide enough......well it is like sleeping in a bed that was never made.....very uncomfortable. LLBean, please improve the details and selection of your sheets. Kindly note that some sheets are deep pocket, and offer a standard size selection in accordance with US standards for both the fitted and flat sheets...your sheets seems to align with European standards not American standards for bedding......some shoppers are acutely aware. I will be returning these sheets....the quality is simple not up to par.

Best. Sheets. Ever. Seriously!
Also, I would like to chime in on the discussion of the color "Sea Ice." It is absolutely beautiful! It is not bright white, nor cream. I would describe it as a soft white, with a cool ice-like tone to it (I guess as the name implies...). Please, LLBean, keep making this color. Maybe a fleece blanket in this color next season? ;) I am on-line now ordering more for another room.

i was not sure about these sheets, they seemed a little scratchy at first. I have washed them several times now, and they feel very soft and wonderful to the touch. They do not need ironing if you remove them from the dryer quickly. I am ordering more. I do wish that you would get these in a pure white and use a little less grey in the colors.

First, I'll agree that the color name, "sea ice" IS a bit confusing. However, as I compare the sheets and cases against my other "ivory" supima cotton cases (from another source), I can't see all that much difference.
BUT, I very much want others to buy and appreciate these sheets, etc.: I have been very hard pressed the last number of years to find Egyptian Cotton bedding which is NOT sateen, which I don't care for at all, so I can only hope that LLBean will continue to offer this wonderful bedding.
These percale are just a bit "stiff" when new, but the fabric is substantial and the sizes of the sheets are very ample, providing for good tucking for the fitted, and plenty of extra for bottom tucking of the flat and fold over at the blanket top.
I consider myself to be a highly discerning shopper and I have to give these sheets a 99.99% rating: The only missing .01% is for the little stiffness when new, but then if they weren't like that, then they would not have likely been of as substantial quality.
I've had these now for about 7 months and they are wearing very well.

Agree with previous review. Was expecting 'sea ice' to be a crisp, white sheet. it is definitely more an ivory colour, just not as clean as ivory. It looked dirty even when held up against my oldest, most washed white bedding. Sorry, probably a lovely quality sheet, but it has to go back. Still a huge Bean fan!

I found the term 'Sea Ice' puzzling, called and was told it was white w/ some blue (?!). Decided to try, found it's neither ivory nor white but a dirty-ish in between. Back it goes tomorrow.
My search for high thread count percale sheets continues.
