I love the looks of this stool, and the color and finish are fine. Also, easy to assemble. Nice size. The problem is the the stool legs are uneven and therefore the stool is wobbly.

This item looked good in the pictures but once I received it and got it assembled it look kind of cheap, not really worth the $40.

Rated 4 out of 5 by UESNYshopper Cottage step stool in white
I was excited to find this new product offered by LLBean, and knew the quality would be excellent as most products are. The item was backordered probably due to popularity as this is a simple but practical and useful small furniture item that can be used in many rooms for many purposes, such as bathroom stepstool for children; kitchen stool; extra casual seating anywhere, spot for holding magazines, etc, or just an extra small table. I had been looking for a bathroom stool in white for a small NYC bath where I need extra places for guests to put clothing or travel bags when they shower. This is ideal in size for this purpose, but my only issue is the proportions make it not as elegant and classic a stool as I had hoped. The top of the stool is too large for the placement/spacing of the legs and it does not look well proportioned or architecturally pleasing as the old step stools of the turn of the century. If this could be improved, the stool would be absolutely a winner. However, I am happy enough with the purchase and it will serve my needs well as it is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Cakechic Poor Quality
I'm hoping that I recieved a lemon, considering that most other reviews rave about the quality. Three years ago I ordered a painted plant stand and the 26" bench, both of which were of exceptional quality. The finish was perfectly smooth and the units were extremely sturdy. This is why I jumped at ordering this little bench. However, when I recieved this bench I was in no way pleased with the quality. I start to wonder if they have changed manufacturers. The hole cut in the top of the bench was jagged, like the bit has slipped. The legs were of poor quality wood that wasn't sanded down properly with grain still showing in some areas. The corners of three of the legs had been dented on several sides and they just finished over it anyway. You could also see areas on the legs where the paint was not sprayed on evenly and where drippage had occured. Needless to say, I will be returning this piece

Rated 5 out of 5 by shortnana Great workmanship
I tried to order this stool when it was first featured on the back of my catalog and they were all sold out. I called and was told "maybe another order in May" so I kept checking. One day near the end of April there it was. The red was already gone so I settled for green. My husband was pleasantly surprised. It still smelled of fresh paint, the finish was nice and it was solid. It is easy to carry with hole in top. I have have several stools like this but none that look so good. I LOVE my new stool and now I can reach most things in the kitchen,. Persistence pays off!

I love this little step stool! I bought it in the sage color and am currently using it in my kitchen. I will have a lot of uses for this item. Right now I have a tray of spring seedlings on the stool and have placed it in front of the sliding glass door. It is sturdy yet light weight. The cut-out handle on top makes it easy to move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by peggy3449 Taller than most
I have 9-foot ceilings and I'm only 5'4" so I need a stool in almost every room. This one is about 2'' taller than most, so I can reach higher. The finish is really nice, and the hand hole in the top makes it easy to move around.
