Purchased full size bed for my teenage son in August 2014. The bed looks great and very sturdy.
Very happy with purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5áby NCBeanpot it is a beatiful well made product
The only reason I did not give this a five star review is because we misunderstood what a "bed set" included. Just confused that it was to come with a mattress. My mistake, after reading too many reviews and trying to compare products. I was eager to find a nice bed at a fair price for my daughter and who was starting a new job far from home. I started to buy the Rangely bed but thought "bed set" came with a mattress. Should have called customer service to be sure. Daughter was excited about the bed, but was disappointed to sleep on the floor one more night. She was able to put the bed together with the aid of heavy textbooks! The quality is great and the bed is beautiful. I am sure it come to be a worthwhile investment. More than I wanted to pay, but hopefully this will be a piece of furniture that will last a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5áby CHFluff Simple - Crisp & Comfortable
My new bed is perfect for what I need now. It was easy to assemble and it looks great! I am very pleased that it is solid maple because it feels sturdy and well-made. My mattress from my old bed is now even more comfortable on this platform bed. The slats on this bed are held together with webbing and spaced with dowels giving great support and comfort to the mattress.

Rated 5 out of 5áby McSnates Nice sturdy cottage bed
I turned an old garage into a sweet guest house, and wanted just the right bed--I looked around A LOT. I wanted something low profile, sturdy, with a handsome beach house look. This was a perfect answer. It arrived in 4 separate boxes. It was easy to assemble (by a workman on the site) and looks just right. All I needed was a mattress (no box spring). The bed looks just darling, and as always LL Bean comes through!

Rated 5 out of 5áby NYNJOnlineShopper Great Bed Made in the USA
We bought this platform bed for our son who was transitioning out of a toddler bed. We were looking for a well-made, sturdy bed with a clean, timeless design, at a reasonable price -- and this LLBean bed fit the bill. I was debating between this bed and another one sold by a well-known children's furniture company; and the deciding factor for me was that this bed was made in the USA. And we have been very happy with this purchase. The delivery was fast, and it arrived well-packed in shipping boxes. My husband was able to put the bed together by himself in about an hour. (Although he did have a few minutes of worry when he couldn't get the slats to fit onto the frame. It turned out to require a lot more stretching than he expected.) I was very pleased with the finish of this bed. The edges of the wood are nicely rounded and the color is lovely. The bed was a little higher than we expected, but it wasn't a problem. The frame is also several inches wider than the mattress we bought. I would prefer not to have such a gap, but we can live with it. This is the first platform bed that we've bought, so I don't know if this varies with the manufacturer or not. All in all, we would highly recommend this bed. I hope that LLBean continues to carry this model because someday I'd like to order the king-size one to replace the bed that my husband and I currently have.

Rated 5 out of 5áby NCjacksBed sturdy, simple bed
I have been on a search for a bed which had enough clearance to allow my dog his safe place. I also wanted to get rid of the low profile box springs for my king size bed. My last requirement was no foot board. This bed has everything I wanted ! I was able to bring the components into my home and assemble the bed with no problems. I think my mattress actually "sleeps better" now that I have this solid frame supporting it . Though the white is workable in my room, I would have preferred color options.

Rated 4 out of 5áby cameragirl Well made and sturdy queen-size bed
This is a lovely bed. I looked at many beds before making a decision to purchase. I was attracted to the fact that it is made in the USA of hardwood at a reasonable price. My husband and I put the bed together, and I had to laugh when the directions "suggested" a second person be available. It would be difficult for one person to accomplish this alone...especially with the weight of the slats. They are very heavy and attached to one another. It was an awkward challenge for us - in our 70s - to get the job done (thank goodness we keep fit).
It just missed the 5-star rating, due to two problems: a small scratch on the ivory paint on one side rail, and one end-slat was warped and would not stay down - we had to screw it in place.
Overall, we are quite pleased.

Rated 3 out of 5áby Dealbug Twin Bed Frame too Wide for Standard Mattress
We ordered two twin beds from L.L.Bean and bought new twin mattresses locally. We noticed a 3 to 4 inch gap between the mattress and the side rail.
We sampled several twin mattresses at different stores. It turns out that most new twins measure only 36.5 to 37 inch in width, although most are advertised as 38 or 39. The opening in the bed frame between the rails is 40.5 inch wide. That explains that gap. Sheets and bedding do not fully cover up the gap and the mattress is sliding on the slats.
Aside from the dimensional mismatch the beds are ok.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Bedwizard Superior bed
I researched beds for my grandchildren for months. I wanted beds they would grow into and also beds my adult friends could use. I wanted to buy beds made in America. I also did not want manufactured wood. I looked for function first and style second. The solid maple beds I bought are of top quality without the extravicant price. They were easy to put together. The packaging was strong. There was no internal damage to the wood. Because of the solid construction these beds will be passed from generation to generation. One slightt negative would be the size of the screws to connect the boards. They could be longer and thicker for a more solid connection.
