Rated 3 out of 5áby Dealbug Twin Bed Frame too Wide for Standard Mattress
We ordered two twin beds from L.L.Bean and bought new twin mattresses locally. We noticed a 3 to 4 inch gap between the mattress and the side rail.
We sampled several twin mattresses at different stores. It turns out that most new twins measure only 36.5 to 37 inch in width, although most are advertised as 38 or 39. The opening in the bed frame between the rails is 40.5 inch wide. That explains that gap. Sheets and bedding do not fully cover up the gap and the mattress is sliding on the slats.
Aside from the dimensional mismatch the beds are ok.

Rated 5 out of 5áby Bedwizard Superior bed
I researched beds for my grandchildren for months. I wanted beds they would grow into and also beds my adult friends could use. I wanted to buy beds made in America. I also did not want manufactured wood. I looked for function first and style second. The solid maple beds I bought are of top quality without the extravicant price. They were easy to put together. The packaging was strong. There was no internal damage to the wood. Because of the solid construction these beds will be passed from generation to generation. One slightt negative would be the size of the screws to connect the boards. They could be longer and thicker for a more solid connection.

Rated 5 out of 5áby DynaLow Simply attractive
Ordered in king with cinnamon finish. Good condition on arrival with exception of webbing that holds slats together but this was not really a problem once they were on the bed frame. Nice workmanship overall. Slats are more than 2 inches apart so needed to put piece of plywood over slats for new foam mattress. Was easy for 2 of us to put together and feels very stable. Pleased with the simple lines and no frills.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Peachy Simple Design; Comfortable Bed
I love the look of this bed. It is a real queen size bed but because of its graceful inverse arched headboard, it does not overwhelm a smaller room. The height is comfortable to get into and out of the bed. The slats provide good support and the bed feels and looks substantial. My only complaints (thus the 4 stars and not 5) are about the condition of the bed parts when I took them out of the boxes. The headboard was damaged in 2 places. When I opened the box that contained the slats, a triangular piece of wood fell out. The corner of one of the slats had broken off. Also when I laid the slats in place (they are joined together by strips of a web material), the last slat could not lay flat in the tracks because there were dowels joining the side rails to the legs in the same location. Had to unstaple the web strips from the last slat and restaple them so the slat cleared the dowels. Aesthetically, this is a lovely bed. It is well built and nicely finished. And it seemed to be well packed for shipping. But the bed was damaged when I received it.

Rated 4 out of 5áby DiamondLil44 Queen platform bed works for me
There are a lot of platform beds out there; having LL Bean quality is a plus. Solid wood, made in America. This bed is about as short in length as a queen platform gets; a major consideration for my small guest room. Ditto the low profile headboard. I'm glad I had help putting it together, but the directions were very clear, and all parts present. Be aware that the ivory color is really pretty much white, almost identical to our 'swiss coffee' white baseboards (see photo). The paint job on the frame could have been better, and given that they are painting flat unassembled parts, I don't know why this can't be improved.

Simple elegance, combined with the sturdiness and quality that I have come to expect from LL Bean for over 45 years.

Rated 5 out of 5áby 4mylovetoshop Went together well, love how it looks
We have not purchased a mattress yet, but we put this together and it went together nicely. I love how it looks. I love the under bed storage drawers. Everything about this bed is wonderful. Got it in the dark color. It is substantial and I know we will love it. Highly recommend this.

Rated 4 out of 5áby Wiscassetshopper Great fit for our Sleep Number Bed.
We added 1/2 inch plywood on top of the slats to give our Sleep Number bed a completely flat surface. We were somewhat disappointed because the headboard had scratches on it. Fortunately, they were on the back of the headboard. All the holes were pre drilled as the directions stated. Overall the bed was easy to put together and we love the way it looks in our bedroom. Would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5áby ELMichigan Great bed
I ordered this bed in queen size to replace an old full size bed in a guest room. It arrived quickly, was well packed and quite easy to assemble (with help of one person). It is well made, solid and perfect for my purposes. And it is a beautiful bed! I love it!

Our new TempurPedic queen size mattress performs extremely well on this bed, We did buy a TempurPedic base support ($150) to comply with their warrantee, They require their beds to rest on a solid base or slats with less than 1/2 inch spacing between slats. This beds slats are spaced father apart than that. The bed arrived well packaged with no damage. Assembly was well explained, and easy to do. The queen mattress fits it well and is very comfortable. The bed has a centr board and a center leg under it which unscrews at the bottom to adjust to minor floor variations. The result is a strong bed. It allows our mattress to be all it can be. We are very happy.
