Rated 5 out of 5 by Twinkie Love the new style
I am totally in favor of the simpler, less fussy style. The pleats in the old style were not flattering at all and hey, I want this for work outs, not fashion parades. The color and print still say "feminine." Yes, it runs big and thank goodness b/c the old style ran really small - I'm normally a medium in all things LL and the old style med was unwearable (and still in my closet - I never sent it back - I should!). This is just a tiny bit large for a medium.
LL - maybe you should keep both styles since your customers obviously have different tastes, but PLEASE make the sizing consistent!

Although the sizing seems larger than previous models of this top, it's still a good, comfortable shirt. I like this fabric better because it's softer. The sizing seems much larger than its predecessor. The style is not fitted, but that's OK.. it's a t-shirt basically, although I did like the previous style and have many of them. I LOVE the longer length--handy for those bending over situations! Honestly, LLB should have kept the previous style and added this one to the lineup with a notation about the sizing (would be handy on all clothing items).

I own quite a few BeanSport tees and look forward to the new shirts each season. What a disappointment!! Both the crewneck and sleeveless hang on you like a man's tee shirt. No shaping, no cute gathered neckline. The china blue isn't even a feminine shade which makes it feel more like a man's shirt. I kept the berry color for the zippered pocket and the length is good. Please bring back the old style!

Rated 1 out of 5 by USOpen Very Disappointed
The new design is very large, boxy and is lacking in any style. Please bring back the old design with the little pleats...it had a cute style and fit very well. I loved the fabric in the old design...washing and air drying was easy. I will have to look elsewhere for new shirts...needless to say I was very disappointed in you, LLBean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JanH Bring back the old ones!
I do not like the new style or fabric of these redesigned shirts, and will have to return these new ones. Please bring back the old styling.
And what is up with plastering the LLBean logo all over the fitness wear all of a sudden? I don't like being forced to be a walking advertisement for your company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by iluvllb100 Perfect Active shirt with vents
Love the new design on this active shirt. Has vents on the side and the upper back for where we sweat the most. Even has moisture wicking fabric around the neck!!! Awesome design... light weight and softer then the original! Fit is fitted (as it's meant for active wear). If your looking for a loose fit, suggest going up a size.
Thanks again LLBean.... you are rocking the new spring designs!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by kathsav Not Good For Yoga
In need of new tops for yoga, I went looking for the cap-sleeved, gathered bodice active shirts I had bought over a year ago. I love those shirts! I was excited to see these new offerings, but found out (after laundering them and wearing one to yoga), that they don't work at all for yoga. Once you go to any kind of bending position (down dog etc) the shirt gaps so much that it covers your face and you can't see anything! I really should have returned them, but decided they would be "OK" for walking once the weather warms.
I am an older, active woman and prefer modest workout clothes. However, they do need to be really functional. Please consider making the original shirts again - maybe even with slightly longer sleeves and in different colors.

Rated 2 out of 5 by brelor Not as good as years past
When I bought this shirt there were no reviews so I took a leap of faith. Now I see others have ordered their shirt got it in and several have the same complaints that I do. So here are my issues. I love the version from the past two years. Here is what I love about the previous versions: length-perfect for me, sleeves-sort of a cap sleeve but maybe a bit longer, neck line-more of a scoop vs a crew, fit-was great but thankfully I've lost weight which is why I wanted more shirts. So what's wrong with the 2013 version.... length-much longer and then there is that longer tail in the back that I really dislike, sleeves-longer like a reqular t-shirt and not flattering on me, neckline-certainly a crew vs previous version that had a slight scoop, fit-as others have said runs larger than previous years. Again other have said older version more feminine and flattering, this years.... if it wasn't for the color(pink), it would look like I had on a man's shirt. I'm considering sending it back but with the return shipping it hardly seems worth the trouble. It may go to the bottom of the gym clothes pile to wear when everything else is dirty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ktfd1 Just a big t-shirt
I agree with the previous reviews which stated that the shirt runs big and I would like to see the previous version of it ( lower scoop neck with gathers ) come back instead. I returned the shirts that I bought and I will pass on this item this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ShopperMom2013 Bigger than previous version!
I love the previous Beansport t-shirt and I wanted to love this style too - but it runs VERY big. I realize the description said it would fit differently, but even using the size chart as a guide was misleading. I exchanged for the next size down and am happy - but two sizes down may have worked even better.
