I took the recommendation of one reviewer and tried a smaller size. It has a nicer fit and doesn't hang on me like a man's shirt. The zippered pocket is a good addition. But the arm holes and neckline are still too baggy. Please go back to the drawing board on this one, L.L. Bean. Or bring back the tanks you carried before.

I have always worn a size medium with LL Bean. Not this style! Arm holes huge and neck too loose. Had to return and got a small. Looks great and I'm off to the tropics in 2 days!

The good: pretty new prints and they kept the excellent fabric, the only reason for the extra star.
The not-so-good: style for 2013 has no style in the neckline, too high in neckline front and back; armholes are too big; no feminine shape in the cut at all, would maybe work on someone with no hips (a guy?) and that problem is accentuated because the tank is now TOO LONG especially in the back. Oh, and for some reason they decided to put their logo on the outside of the shirt, ruining what used to pass as a dressier travel tee.
Please bring back the old style, LLBean!

This top gaps under the arms for me. I didn't especially like the color either when it arrived--China Blue. It may look good on some women, but not me. I was sorry this top didn't work out as I could use a sleeveless fitness top!

I have several of the old sport tanks, love them and have tried for a year to order more. When they offered the new style I decided to give it a try. Same size as the old style, terrible fit. The armholes are HUGE! I will be returning this for a refund.

I recently purchased two of these tees, one in black and one in the violet colour. They are great. I normally buy a Large and the large in this item fit perfectly. I have three of the original versions of this tee which I also really like. My preference may still be the original one but I like that the new version is a little roomier in the arm openings (but not too loose) and it is a little longer. This is great for me because I am tall (5' 10 "). It also has a little zippered pocket which is great. I would love to see additional colours in this item.

I was a little worried when I saw that it had been restyled. I also have many of the old tanks and love them. I was waiting to order new ones now that I've lost weight. I didn't pay attention to the size chart, and I wear an XS instead of a S in this new tank. I know LLBean will take the smalls back, no questions asked. They do fit different than the old style, but they fit me really well (5'4" - 125 lbs). I also like the longer length when I'm down on the floor doing push ups or planks, so I don't have to worry about my shirt riding up. Getting ready to purchase two in print fabric (this review is for the solid colors), and I'm assuming they will fit exactly the same.

I am overweight but working on my fitness. I bought the black XL and it works as a loose fit look. I also bought the L in black. As a frequent fitness class goer, I cannot have too many basic black workout items. I like the new cut, but my build is muscular, not that slim.

I own seven of the previous BeanSport tops in both solid and print and sleeveless and short sleeve. I wear them to the gym almost everyday of the week and love them. I was excited to see that the top had come out in a new print but was disappointed to see that it had been "restyled" because I loved them just the way they were. I decided to order one anyway. I do not like the new styling for several reasons. The neck in front is cut higher than the old styling and is not as cool. Also, it lays flat against the skin as there are no gathers. The gathering was much more flattering to my figure as well as being more comfortable. I am only about 5 feet tall and the new styling is much longer than the old, and I really do not get why the back is cut longer. The new styling is cut straighter down the sides, and again, this is not as flattering on me. Finally, all of my other BeanSport tops are Small but in this style I needed ExtraSmall as the cut is different than in the past. Although I do not like this top nearly as much as the old styling, I did keep the one I ordered but I will not be ordering another like it. I would love to see the old styling return in a bigger selection of colors or prints. This top did not need restyling!

After realizing you must be discontinuing your previous style of your BeanSport sleeveless tank, I decided to order one in your new style. I am disappointed and find the new tank VERY unflattering. I am 5'7'', weigh 130 lbs., and have an athletic build. I wear a size small in your old tank. This new tank is cut much straighter than the old style, without as much shaping in the waist area. It is also extremely long, especially in the back where it is purposely cut longer than in the front. The back hem hits me at the bottom of my tush, so I can't imagine how anyone shorter than me could even wear it. I can tell I can't go down a size or it wilI be too tight in the chest/bust. I always liked your old style because it was not skin tight like so many of the workout tops I find in the stores. However your new one reminds me of how the ones in the store fit me when I try to go up a size to avoid that tightness. It just looks sloppy. I will be returning it, and really hope you will bring back your old BeanSport tank!
