Rated 4 out of 5 by Gotadimple Very Generously Sized
Looked great on the website and the sizing info had me ordering an XL. Have to return it for a smaller size - arms are 3" too long!

Rated 4 out of 5 by cozybee Great Construction. Color washed out on first wash
The robe seems perfect for warm weather and covering up less than modest summer sleep wear.
I always wash new clothes before I wear them and I was extremely disappointed to see the color severely fade on the first wash. I can still see the color it arrived as, inside the pockets, but the majority of the robe is almost white with just streaks of dye left. Super disappointing from a store with such a reputation for quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Snookie Robe in navy
I love these. The material is soft and it does not shrink. I have 4 other sets
. Just want to know when you will get the navy gown. Also you might consider a petite size on the robe. I have to pay extra to have the arms shortened.

Rated 2 out of 5 by dogngardener Robe made from very thin material
I bought this for my Mom, thought she would like the zipper. But, she's in a nursing home and it tends to be cool there all year round. This robe is VERY thin material, so it was not warm enough. Would probably be great for someone in a very warm climate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hatu48 very comfortable 'house-dress'
Okay, I'll admit that some days I don't bother getting 'dressed'! This robe makes an awesome lounging 'dress'. Great fit, washes/dries beautifully, very soft but substantial fabric and I wish I had bought another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coldincalif Supima Cotton Zip Robe
I got the new one in the Rich Berry color and I love the color as it goes well with a lot of the sleepwear that I have. I got one in size XL because I like things big related to sleepwear so it is big on me; the sleeves a bit long but they can be easily rolled up a notch if desired. I am 5'4" and weigh about 150 lbs. and a size Large would have fit me easily as well. These new ones out do not have the satin interfacing on the bottom as was the case in the older version -- a small difference that means nothing to me.
I have purchased these in the past and have a few tips to make one work for you.
Before laundering, make sure the zipper is zipped up. If it is not zipped up, it could be a problem because the zipper is made out of plastic, not steel so NO HOT dryer as it will ruin it. I have never washed one of these in hot water and I wouldn't recommend it personally given these facts.
That said, these robes are made in Peru of the lovely Supima cotton which takes a lot of washing and wearing and no, it does not shrink! :)
Just be careful with the zipper when laundering and you'll have yourself a great 100% cotton robe WITH pockets! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by critternurse just right for summer
I bought this robe earlier this summer--knew that if it was LLBean, it would be wicked good. I was right!! Super soft, full zip, good length, easy to roll up and pack. What's not to like? Hope it lasts and lasts like my other LLBean clothing. Thanks for a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Thequilter Very disappointed
The robe is VERY thin, not suitable for winter. I like the fact it is 100% cotton, not like a T-shirt, which what this robe felt like. I miss the robe LLBean had a few years ago, It had a hood, & 100% cotton. It was warm & heavy. I will be returning this, You need to find better manufactures, & keep the products made in the USA

Rated 5 out of 5 by Preservationist Perfect for Warm Climates or Summer Months
This robe is excellent for warm climates or summer months - or both. The fabric is soft and of a medium weight cotton. I wash it just like everything else - usually warm water and medium heat dryer - so I got a size larger. It's a little big, but I prefer the looseness.
It has worked wonderfully with no zipper malfunctions. I anticipate years of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VikingPrincess Have 10 of these sturdy robes & just bought 2 more
My 88-year-old Mother resides with her aides with my family and me. She lives in these robes year-round. The full-opening zipper makes changing my Mother much easier than a pullover or button-front gown or dress. Also we wash and sometimes bleach 2-3 of these robes every day, and they have held up exceptionally well over the 4+ years we have been relying on them. I was surprised to read some reviewers' criticisms--none of our zippers have failed, the satin zipper trim has held up perfectly, and we like the length of both the sleeves and the hem. We have the robe in light pink, lilac pink, sea foam, tidal blue, and medium dark blue, all fine colors from our point of view. The fabric is soft and strong. We recommend these robes for others who are considering how to dress an elderly or infirm woman, in addition to their traditional use by women of all sizes and ages.
