I have purchased a similar style from LL Bean for years but this has been updated with straps instead of a halter, which is much more comfortable. This suit is colorful, flirty and fun and provides good coverage. It definitely is slimming and pulls you in to give a tiny waist (I am 5'7', size 12, but I wear a size 14 in this suit). The skirt is cute but not matronly. It's an expensive suit, but well worth every penny in my opinion and I will keep buying this style for years to come. Thank you LL Bean!! April 18, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5�by onlineshopper2013 Lovely material but NOT Slimming in the least I am 5'8, heavy in the stomach, but average otherwise, usually a size 16. Bought an 18 just to be cautious and got the world's worst fit. The bust was too large, the suit is very long in the body, but most disappointing is that it has little to no slimming capability at all through the mid-section. The skirt begins *below* the abdomen and sticks out around the top of the legs, making me look like a walrus in a kiddie skirt! Too bad because the color and material are lovely. I was tempted to try an exchange for a different style, but this "slimming" suit is so NOT slimming that I am afraid to waste more time with styling and sizing that is this different from what was described. LLBean: Please care more about accurate sizing. March 22, 2013

Took a chance with this new L.L. Bean Swimdress, and I couldn't be happier!! It certainly lives up to its' claim for being slimming. The quality of the fabric is impressive, and I love the pattern, as well. Purchased the Zip Front Cover-Up in Tropical Blue, and it matches the swimsuit perfectly. Can't wait to wear it at the beach or pool!! By the way, I purchased the same dress size that I wear, and it fit perfectly... February 13, 2013
