I am short (5'2") and have difficulty finding hiking pants in an appropriate length. A little disappointed that these don't come in Petites... However, I hemmed them and that was OK. One of the things I liked about these pants is that the waist almost comes up to my natural waist. It is hard to believe that so many stores are selling HIKING pants that sit 3" or 4" below the waist. How does that make any sense? It is really a challenge to find something that fits.
I had one problem with these pants--they pilled after 1 wearing and first washing. However, I called LL Bean and they replaced them immediately, with a second day delivery. GREAT service, Thank you LLBean for standing behind your products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cloudburst Great pants for hiking the Grand Canyon!
These pants fit perfectly true-to-size and are very lightweight and quick-drying; they kept me cool, protected me from the bright AZ sun while I hiked, and washed out well in a motel sink and dried in a couple hours on a hanger. They are also tough -- I fell on the Bright Angel Trail at GC, but these pants didn't even snag. Plenty of pockets to keep essentials handy. Best hiking pants ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by NAD28 Love these pants but they are too short for me
I love these pants but I am 5'8" and they are a bit too short for me so I had to return them. If they came in medium-tall I would probably get them in every color. I purchased the Vista Trekking shorts and I love them.

Just what was expected. Tough, light. Size is what you would expect. (although 30 years ago I wore "the same size" but in the interim have gained 30 pounds.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by stonespring1 Loved everything about these pants
I needed pants to wear for a student clinical in a hospital and outpatient setting. Khakis are recommended but are so unflattering for women. I went to LL Bean and tried them on. I am a 12 moving to a 10 and I bought the size 10. After wearing the first pair, they stretched and got baggy so I returned for the size 8. I actually got in the size 6 but I thought that pushed it. I got many compliments on these pants from patients and other practitioners. They are light, wash well, dry fast and have lots of pockets. The gray ones can even pass for scrubs. They feel like you are wearing your pajamas. In the woods or into work, these pants are great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nickname84 comfortable, great fit, handled heat & humidity
Loved everything about the pants, except the button tabs to make them into capris. The pant legs would not stay rolled up, they hung on a slant. The tab fabric either needs to be shorted or put bottoms on both sides of pant legs. Easy fix, will be altering my pair.

I really like the fit and feel of these pants. They are quick to dry and very comfy. I've given these 4 stars because of the pilling in the upper thigh area. Otherwise these are perfect! I just ordered another pair in a different colour.

Really like these pants--the stretch fabric makes them really comfortable, and the fact that they convert to capris is great. They will be great for travelling. Fit is good, but I'm easy to fit (5' 7").

Rated 5 out of 5 by Goldyrocks Great pants for sun-protection while snorkeling
I wore these pants in the water while snorkeling in the Bahamas - quick drying, great sun protection. The zippered pockets kept my phone and cards safe on land. The pants do run large in the waist, so I added wide elastic to distribute the excess fabric evenly, something I do with most of the pants I buy.
