These pants are great looking, very lightweight, and excellent protection from the sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mailcarrier032016 I love these pants
I needed something light weight and that would cover up my legs while I carry mail. With these pants I have traveled through snow, rain and hot sunny days. These pants work for all situations. I like being able to go from pants to shorts. The price is defiantly worth it. They hold up very well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Steph22 Super Comfy
I bought these on a road trip. I was able to break them in during a 2.5 hour hike. These are by far the most comfortable pants I think I've owned. My only complaint will be that they are a little short. I'm on the tall side (5'10") so this isn't a new problem of mine.

I bought 2 pairs of these pants, 1 that are big because I ordered them 2 sizes too big because I was afraid they'd run small but they didn't so I got the next pair the size I should have ordered and they fit as I think they're supposed to. I kept both sizes and with a belt I can get away with the bigger pair just fine.
These are on the expensive side but because they are L.L. Bean I anticipate they will be durable and last a long time. I plan on buying more of these.

Love these pants. Had 3 pairs in all the colors. Some how I lost my beige pair and held off ordering another pair thinking I would find them. Still have not found them but did order another pair. Even if I find the lost pair will keep them all. Fits well, comfortable, was hand dry quickly, great for traveling, packs small, did have to order up a size but love these pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hiker58 Hiking pants with cargo pockets!
This is my third pair. I love these pants for hiking. Plenty of pockets, the pants move with you, even on sweaty days. Yes, they may snag, but they are hiking pants! They run short - I am 5"6" and they are fine (maybe a bit short), but much taller I could see it becoming an issue. They run one size smaller than your "normal" size. I am a size 12, but size 10 fits great.
Thanks for a hiking pant that is meant for hiking. Those pockets save me from fumbling through my daypack for my phone, camera, tissues. There are few if any women hiking pants on the market that have cargo pockets, breathable and stretchable fabric.Oh, and I have slid down rocks on my butt - these held up very well. Just hiked Death Valley - 91 degrees, pants perfect.I do not roll the pants up unless traversing water.
Women I hike with ask about my pants and I always recommend them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AltoQuilter Comfy fit...but 2 problems
These pants fit well, are super comfortable, with great pockets - all features I love. But I echo 2 criticisms of earlier commenters. One - the fabric has snagged and pilled extensively after only a few months of intermittent use. Two - there is only one side tab to roll up each leg and it absolutely needs tabs on both sides as the fabric is slippery and immediately unrolls. This would be such an easy fix and seems a no-brainer - why weren't they designed with 2 tabs in the first place?? PLEASE add them!

Rated 4 out of 5 by RedwoodResident Travel pants
I haven't actually worn these pants yet other than to try on after receiving them, but am pleased w/ the fit and quality. I wanted pants for travel and active wear in a warm climate & needed them to have pockets, including secure pockets and a pocket for my cell phone. [the cargo pocket BARELY holds an iPhone 6s--Bean may want to consider making this pocket just a little longer in the future].
I am 5'4", 110#, the size 4 fits nicely...maybe a little roomy in the hips and thighs but that is fine for active wear. I am rating this as a 4 based on fit and style, but w/o "field testing" can't comment on durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by northernminnesotamom About to become my favorite summer hiking pants...
It's winter where I live, so I won't get to break these pants in for a month or two, but they are sure to become a favorite. The fabric is light but sturdy, nice knee gussets, pockets are big enough for my iphone 6, and zipper pocket options also. There is also a button so you can roll the legs up to capri length (didn't realize this when I bought them). The fit was exactly what I expected from other LL Bean pants I own.
