I will admit that I purchased the Vista Trekking pants as a second choice to another brand. The other brand was sold out (for months) and I needed a pair of fast drying roll-up pants for a trip to the mountains of NC, where I was going to be doing a lot of hiking but didn't want to carry tons of luggage. These pants, I thought, would fill the bill.
They are, indeed, light, (lighter, frankly, than my "first choice" pants) and are pretty well-constructed (strong seams, no chafing) . They dried quickly. Those are the pro's.
The cons? The fabric snags on twigs, rocks, etc, and little "pulls" are evident after about 10 days of wear. The waist isn't proportional to the hips (too big in the waist, thus needing a belt). The seams are pucker-y (they don't lay flat). Dozens of "threads" were hanging from every seam, but which didn't seem to cause the seams to ravel. Trimming solved this issue, but at this price point it bespeaks some quality control issues. Lastly, the big pockets both on the legs and in the back are about 1/2" too short to snap closed on an iPhone6. Would I buy these again? Probably not.

Love the lightweight fabric with stretch
Very comfortable in Texas heat

LLBean: Please offer these in NAVY and BLACK. The only color I like now is Granite. I have three pairs of Granite and need more color variety.

A friend of mine had ordered these pants. Said try them. She was rite. Lightweight & several pockets. The only negative item was the length but they were super easy to hem. Only come in 31 inseam & I need a 29. Weigh 125 .& the size 8 fit. I might could have used a 6 but decided I just need to keep them. Especially since I had a coupon & 15% off. You will not be disappointed!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Roosie Great travel pants!
I bought these pants for a trip to Alaska. The size was true however the pants are loose in the waist and definitely sit lower on the hips than I prefer. I have to wear a belt to keep them from falling down, but love the lightweight material and comfort in warmer weather. They are so comfortable to wear and were really space saving to pack for my trip! I bought 2 pair and they were my "go to" pants for my trip! I would give high ratings!

Rated 5 out of 5 by walkwell Great for hiking
These pants are just what I was looking for. Very light weight but strong material. They fit well around the hips and waist with a high back so you won't be forever pulling them back up.
I also tried the comfort trail pants, but these fit much better.

Have tried two pairs of these pants, and both have pilled along the outside thigh seams. Also, material snagged and puckered in places.. Not very sturdy for hiking pants costing $69.
Disappointing, because they are very comfortable pants..

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dulcy When you want to feel like you're wearing pajamas
I do go hiking from time to time, but these pants are better than jeans and yoga pants when it comes to comfort just going out and about. I bought my first pair on the way to Boothbay Harbor for some summer hiking, but they felt so good I just ordered two more to wear around town in Boston.
They run a bit short so for petite, 5'1 people like me, there is no extra cost for hemming--when you buy the petite size that is. Also, they run a little big so if you've put on some winter weight, these pants will make you feel comfortable getting out there in order to exercise and slim down again. I'm so happy I discovered these!

material is soft, pliable and light weight. The fit is very nice, not at all manly. I like the many pockets it has

I just got these so I don't know how they will hold up but they appear to be well constructed. What I love about them is how they feel. They are so soft and silky that you just want to wear them. But, they don't look like they will be fragile. The fit is great. No tight waist band for those of us who are expanding a little around the middle but still active. I recommend these from their feel and comfort. I am buying another pair.
