I love these pants! I now have all 3 colors, and wear them all the time - sailing or hiking, traveling, as well as just running errands. They are so lightweight and airy, they feel better than shorts in the summer. They dry in a minute if they get wet. I have not had any problems with pilling, pulling, or puckering as described by others; they wear well and wash well.

Love the pants. I don't wear shorts, so I prefer the roll-up pants, but they are often hard to find. These pants are so comfy and breathable. I do a lot of traveling in tropical/warm climates, and these are perfect for taking a jungle hike, and easy to pack.

I ordered these pants to wear around town on hot & humid days, and I took 4 pairs on vacation to Europe. They have a flattering fit, and they are light and fast-drying. BUT -- they are already pilling badly and looking worn out. I'm disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OaklandG Great lightweight pants
Lightweight hiking pants great for hot weather. Good pockets. Would have preferred a smaller waist, so I have to wear a belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Springfieldgirl8 great travelling pants
I searched many woman's pants for ones which had adequate sized pockets, were comfortable and would travel well. Almost all women's pants these days have tiny pockets which are useless -- and my phone falls out of them. These pants have four zippered pockets, each big enough for my phone, passport or small wallet. They are comfortable, dry very quickly, and look well. The size runs larger than normal. They were great on a recent trip to England and France. I wish they came in more colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LCAllen Excellent fit and look
I first purchased a Regular length and hemmed them to fit. So much easier buying the Petite version. I just wished my local store in Burlington , MA carried more petites. I am 5'3" and bought the 14. The waist and hips fit just fine. Also they are cut with a slightly low rise so the waist isn't up around my armpits. Thank you!
As other reviewers have stated the fabric doesn't seem real sturdy. I can live with the slight pilling to wear them this summer and then for a trip to the tropics. They wash and dry very easily.
I bought the charcoal and like the color.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beanfan7658 comfortable, lightweight, but not great quality
Ive only worn mine a few times because immediately the knees begin to show signs of wear and after just a couple times of sitting on the floor, the fabric at the knees stretched out and now permanently just sticks out. It looks extremely odd when im walking in them. not only that but they look worn also. not what i expected from a bean purchase and not worth the price paid.
other then that: super lightweight, fast drying and fairly comfortable.

The petite fit great! My only complaint is I just wore them hiking and the water bottle on my waist belt bounced up and down and pilled the side of the pants. They are more delicate than I thought. But great for hot hikes so I'll deal.

Love the pants! They run a little bigger around the waist, but otherwise perfect!

Rated 3 out of 5 by MeganJean not tough enough
I like these pants. They are comfortable, fit well, have functional pockets and are the weight I want for the summer. They dry quickly and clean up easily (I washed them in a campground shower and they were just fine after air drying on my tent).
But like most outdoor apparel for women, they are not made for field work. I volunteer for the National Park Service and spend a fair bit of my volunteer time in rough terrain (hiking off trail, climbing over rocks, scrambling through chaparral, etc.). I keep trying different brands of lightweight field pants (helpful when temps get over about 90F) and I manage to tear them up pretty quickly. These were no exception. I ran into a branch and tore a hole in the knee. Bummer!
So if you want a pair of pants that will function well in many different situations, these are a good candidate. But if you do serious field work, keep looking. I really hope that someone comes up with a product that meets the needs of women who work in the field (plenty of pocket space, durable construction, lightweight fabric -- is this a pipe dream?). If someone makes it, I'll buy in bulk!
