Rated 5 out of 5 by AZMountainBiker Terrific Active Wear
I purchased this specific shirt for cooler weather mountain biking. It's warm enough for the cooler morning, but during the mid day, the wicking aspect of the shirt was a welcome feature. Fits great, not too loose but not too tight. Being too tight was a concern. Very impressed with the shirt overall. The front zipper opens more than enough to cool you off on trails and zips up high enough without choking the neck. The chest pocket is a great feature; a great place to put the phone providing quick access. Loose enough for an under layer T-shirt as well. Very pleased.

Not only did this product arrive quickly it also fit perfectly (XL). This is lightweight yet still warm. This will be perfect for snowshoeing this winter.

Fourth of the Timberledge (Ridge Runner) shirts I've bought. The pocket zipper on the latest is back on the chest, where it was on the first. I much preferred the pocket zipper on the left sleeve (shirts two and three). Otherwise this is the same comfortable shirt I've liked for years. Good for slightly cool days worn over a T-shirt. I'm slender (5' 8", 153 lbs.) and the medium fits just right. I imagine most guys would need a larger size.

I really liked most aspects of this shirt, except the "flatlock seams minimize friction to prevent chafing" -- did not. Those seams inside the shirt, I found to be scratchy and did not minimize chafing. The same seams on the outside were quite comfortable. If I could have worn the shirt inside-out it would have worked for me -- I tried it & it felt better, but clearly didn't work in other ways. I had the shirt for 2 days, wore it around the house, and returned it. I'm active - bike, hike, ski, run, etc. - and a little chafing can be a real problem. If it is chafing in my living room, I've learned it is worse when I'm active outside.

I love the feel of this shirt. Fits well and moves well. It is a great hiking shirt. I do challenging trails and this is the shirt for that type of hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Laura27 versatile handsome quarter zip
Bought this shirt for the active and very dear men in our family. Bought four different sizes including regular and tall versions. All excellent and looked good on everybody. Nice fabric, light weight but comfortable and durable.
Hoping the zippers hold up as that has been a problem with other purchases. But these are all excellent so far.
The style incuded a fabric fold over the zipper end to protect the neck...very nice addition!

Product was defective: a snagged thread made for an unsightly seam across chest area. Another loose thread threatened to do so again in another quarter of the pull-over. Material seemed too flimsy for a top billed as a rugged, outdoor cover.
Additionally, fit was too tight. I'm a medium. This medium is on the snug side, no wiggle room at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BayAreaTarheel long sleeve version is a little tight
In many respects this shirt is as advertised: versatile with fast-drying and sun blocking features for a number of outdoor activities like running, hiking or paddle boarding. However since my chest measurements are at the upper end of my preferred sizing (165, medium) I found the arm holes to be too constricting and uncomfortable. The technical fishing shirt turned out to be a better fit for me.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the shirt, but it does fray on the underside of the forearm.

Perfect fit. T-shirt that doesn't look like a T. Cool temp for comfortable wear.
