Rated 3 out of 5 by BayAreaTarheel long sleeve version is a little tight
In many respects this shirt is as advertised: versatile with fast-drying and sun blocking features for a number of outdoor activities like running, hiking or paddle boarding. However since my chest measurements are at the upper end of my preferred sizing (165, medium) I found the arm holes to be too constricting and uncomfortable. The technical fishing shirt turned out to be a better fit for me.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the shirt, but it does fray on the underside of the forearm.

Perfect fit. T-shirt that doesn't look like a T. Cool temp for comfortable wear.

As with all L.L. Bean products the sizing is always exact. Additionally, shipments are either on-time or early ? they never disappoint you. This product is perfect weight for hiking which was its intended use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TheRocketMan As good as any... At any price
I have 8-10 items similar to the Ridge Runner from other manufacturers. I guess I can't mention the other brand names, but they're names you'd recognise.
My LL Bean Ridge Runner size L fits as well, if not better, and is quality made of equal or better material as any of my other brand name similar items.
And at $45 is priced a lot less.
I'm very happy with my Ridge Runner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FishingMad Great trout fishing shirt.
On a recent spring trout fishing trip to New Zealand I wore these shirts and they were brilliant.
They breath very well, allow for plenty of casting movement and don't bunch up under a vest.
I highly recommend them for all but the hottest weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CADJR Excellent 4-Season Shirt For Active Wear!
These shirts have a comfortable fit for active people. It is not a compression fit, clingy fit, or "trim fit"---which usually translates into poor fit. It is not baggy, but fits loosely----which is what you want in cold weather clothing---COLD---meaning Clean, Overheating Avoided, Loose and in Layers, and Dry. Finally someone got it right with the cut for these shirts. Thank you.
I got just about every color now, and I wear them from the Fall through the Winter and well into Spring here in NH. I always keep one in my pack to wear as a light layer or a sleep shirt even in Summer, as it can still get cool in the mountains, or even near any large body of water with a stiff breeze added. My only suggestion would be to make more colors--especially earth-tone or woodland colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RolloTomasi Nice For Hiking and Great Fit
I really like this shirt.
Its light weight and great for packing into a backpack for long multiple day hikes.
The only thing I didn't like is that the color yellow wasn't the same brightness as it looked in the picture on the website. It was more of a mustard color but it still looked good.
Other than the shade of the yellow, I would highly recommend this product if you like a shirt that wicks well and is comfortable to wear as well as protecting you from the UVA rays.
