Rated 2 out of 5 by menswear very bad fit
i didn't know LLbean was making maternity wear. The world is getting fatter, but i thought LL bean customers were different. A shaped garment. the jacket would be good for a 8 month pregnant woman with no chest. sending back spoke to customer service they are trying to correct problem with fit i hope so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bu59 Excellent windbreaker
This is a wonderful jacket. It keeps me warm and comfortable in cool weather, even when I'm wearing only a tee shirt, and it does a great job of blocking the wind. I also like its nice masculine look.
As far as some of the reviewers who complained that this jacket is undersized, I completely disagree! I am a size Medium, and this jacket FITS PERFECTLY, with or without an extra layer worn underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 Really cool lined jacket
The Sherpa lined windbreaker is very light; is warm even on cold days; looks good ; and is functional. I highly recommend it!

After reading previous reviews I still decided to purchase the jacket and try it out. Well, the previous reviewers were right on about the size. I felt like belting out Chris Farley's rendition of Fat Man In A Little Coat as I walked down the street.
I bought an XL, which for every other jacket I have gotten through LL Bean, is perfect. Not with this one. My 48 chest felt tight in the jacket and I was only wearing a t-shirt. If it was really cold and I needed to add a sweater, I probably would have looked and felt like the Michelin Man. You just can't add layers. Also, the sleeves were short. Every time I reached for something two inches of my wrist would be exposed, and in the cold weather, I don't need that.
Even though there is a cinch for the bottom of the jacket, it doesn't work that well because the jacket (for me) fell above my hip. The item description lists it at below the hip. Even though you cinch something I was still feeling a breeze because the jacket did not fall below my hip and give me that extra bit of material to properly cinch.
Now, the good. The fleece lining gives it a great feel to the skin and it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but I still think LL Bean should consider a redesign. I will be returning it in the next few days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jacketman fills a need
I ordered this lined windbreaker because I needed a light jacket that fell between a sheer windbreaker and a spring jacket. In other words, it had to keep me comfortable between 50 and 70 degrees.
This one does the trick. The body is very comfortable. However, I took away a star because when I stretched out my arms, as if driving, the shoulders and arms tightened up. Otherwise, the jacket felt great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by hayabusa comfortable, but...
I was misled by the photo and didn't expect the flashiness of the blue. The jacket seems to have been cut on the assumption that the wearer would have a potbelly. I would definitely not have bought this if I had seen it in the flesh, as it were.

For the price, cheaply made. Poor fit. Even a large was too small. LL Bean parka is a medium and fits just right. I recommend eliminating this new item. Doesn't meet LL Bean standards.

I ordered a large which is my regular size but I had to send it back for an extra large. It is well made but it would be better if it had raglan sleeves. The sizing could be an issue.I would recommend ordering a size larger if you plan to layer. The quality is great.

I was looking for a jacket just like this without a bottom band and a hood. I chose the red since I would be seen in a crowd. The color was fine. The jacket was way too small. I normally take a XXL. This was sized like a large, maybe. Maybe the size was mismarked. The materials didn't seem up to par considering LL Bean's reputation. Maybe something else will come along that will suit me better.
