This is a fun, small boat. It goes on the water in a jiffy. It has great handles to help with carrying. It is not the fastest boat but an easy boat and the view is the same from any other boat. This one I can carry easily. The paddle is a little fluttery. For recreational use, it's perfect. For a small person, it's a good choice. A heavier person would sit low in the water and not be able to track as well. Wish it had a rudder.

I really like the Kayak. The problem is when I received the kayak the bungee rope in the back was broke & tied off at the previous hole. Obviously someone knew it had broke cause they took the time to tie short. Not a major deal, but not the quality I expect from LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BMWRider Far Exceeded My Expectations
To be frank, I absolutely love this kayak. The quality of it matches my German whitewater rig that cost six times more. I bought this one for large lake paddling and to carry both my Brittany spaniel and my bluetick coonhound with me. They loved it, I loved it, and to be big enough and stable enough for that yet easily portable for me? I'm in love.

Thsi is my second Cascadia Sit-on-Top Kayak, and I love it. the color is great, and my niece's andnephew's enjoy it just as much as I do. So glad I bought another one so that I don't have to kayak alone. It's sturdy, and moves nice through the water, we use it on the lake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by giddyup Very Stable Kayak
I bought this kayak to paddle the local (mostly class 2) rivers with my dog. I wanted stability and enough room for both of us and this kayak delivered. Yes, it is bulky and a bit heavy, but we have yet to tip, even with the dog falling in a few times! It can also get pulled a bit when two currents meet due to its underside shape (which also makes it stable on flat water). If you are looking for a fun sit on top that you can play in, I recommend it. I think it would be great for a family kayak. It is built very sturdy and is relatively economical. I can tell I am going to have a lot of fun with this boat! Note, if you need a boat cart, the "Stow Away Deluxe Boat Cart" did not work well with this kayak, but the "All Terrain Boat Cart" does.)

Have paddled many sit-on-top kayaks, but this is the best. Lots of room, easy to get in and out of, sit a little higher, handles for carrying are nice, not heavy, and kayak tracks well. Would recommend this kayak to anyone

Love my new kayak! I like the sit on top style, the dog can ride with me. My first time ever in a kayak and this one is easy to move, and sturdy. The dog jumped out, and I did not tip over. I can pack it by myself, but it is rarther cumbersome, and heavy after awhile. Other than that, this is a great kayak, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cent1824 Nice Sturdy Kayak
It's a big, bulky kayak but the specs are clear about that, so I knew it'd be tough to lug around by myself. I absolutely love it. It's very sturdy/stable in the water. I take it both in the river and the ocean. I love that it has plenty of room in the cockpit area so I can take my 15 lbs dog with me and he can move around comfortably (and I don't feel cramped either). The built in handles are nice as there's no way screwed in ones would ever hold. It'd be much better if the handles went all the way through, as it's still a little tough to get a good grip on it to carry. Overall, I got exactly what I expected & am having a blast with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MoNeNe Cascadia Kayak
Got a deal on Cascadia package....2 kayaks plus bought the roof racks... a big investment! our first time out I was disappointed. They are heavy and bulky and difficult to get up onto roof racks (we are in our 60's) and when we finally got them into the water they were slow and tracked poorly. So disappointed, as I had wanted a kayak for years. I can't manage transporting the kayak alone, and find it difficult with two of us.
