These are much heavier material than comparable "jammers". Probably too warm for summer use. Also a bit too heavy for use under a wetsuit. However, they fit well, look good. Blackout logo would help.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PAWads Fail without drawstring
This is exactly what I wanted for early season swimming, so I ordered an XL. They fit perfectly when I put them on but failed when I took them for a swim. At the end of two laps in the pool they were down around my hips. As water got between the shorts and my skin, they lost adhesion and the force of my forward motion in the water caused them to slip down. Tried them in the ocean with the same result. They need a drawstring or some Velcro arrangement to tighten the waist. A smaller size would have been too tight everywhere else. Reluctantly, I returned them.

I love these 'magic pants' as my wife refers to them. They are, first and foremost warm! While southern California is generally thought of as warm, at 6:30 a.m. the pool is quite cool. Coupled with an insulated swim cap these shorts have kept me warm without overheating in chillier water.
As to the magic, they substantially increase buoyancy and enhance my flow through the water!

Rated 4 out of 5 by RegisteredMaineGuide Nice for cool mornings kayaking on a Maine Lake
I have been wearing these about 5 hours a day while teaching kayaking to 4th to 8th grade kids. I take a 12 or 14 misses LL Bean Bayside twill pant, the womens version of these had a rise too short for me so I picked the mens version, they had a better rise. These are fine on cool mornings on these northern lakes in Maine. A nice layer, they roll off easily when you want to take them off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PBCarter Warm, but loose waist
Fits well except for the waist - it really needs a draw string (especially if you swim with these). Very warm and dry.

This item did not really work for what i needed it to do. Around the waist was not as tight as it suggested it was so it let alot of water in. I needed this to go over my disabled son's swim diaper and it was just not snug at the waist at all. =(

Bought my kids (two boys, age 22 and 25) LLBean Kayaks for Christmas, which they love. For Easter bought these wet shorts, which they also love. They said they are perfect for kayaking in the cool Ohio lakes (especially in March and April!)
