Rated 5 out of 5 by mmec27 Great for layering under suits
I love this tank, and I'm wearing it under a suit jacket right now. The material is substantial and it seems to be pretty high quality. I'm 5'2" and 155 lbs and I bought the petite large which fits perfectly. I'm considering buying more in other colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by musiclady88 LOVE this tank!
This is now my favorite tank top -- I bought one in each color, and wish there were more to choose from! There's plenty of spandex which keeps it from gapping across the back at the armholes, but without feeling restrictive. I wear a 12 and ordered a LG -- fits perfectly and is the most flattering tank I own. Priced right also!

Rated 1 out of 5 by LadyHiker101 Hate to complain, but comes out wrinkled
I have three tops I purchased at the same time. The black comes out of the wash looking great, nice and soft. But the ivory and white, yuk! They are full of wrinkles. I don't iron. Further, the white and ivory fabric is hotter and heavier and rougher than the black fabric. I'd buy the black again. But white and ivory, going back. They are cut from different material. What is with all the spandex, anyway? Looks so cheap. Sorry, just my opinion. Bean lets you send stuff back, so all good. If you are dissatisfied with anything, you just mark so and they pay the postage. Sucha a deal. What mall store takes things back like Bean does? They have most all my business, but for undergarments.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ocean Armholes are huge!
A good layering tank can't be beat, but it seems no company can make the armholes appropriate to the size. These tops are great alone for summer, but the armholes are way too big. More color options are also needed!

I have 12 of these tanks..they are great, whether worn on their own, or under a cardigan. We travel to Hawaii for the winter, and these are my staple. Lovely, soft material, medium weight..I hang to dry. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pippin382 Perfect
This is perfect for wearing on its own, so I don't know why it's called a layering top. I was reluctant to buy it because I thought it would be like an undershirt but it is made from very nice fabric and a style that has good coverage, even for bra straps. So I think you should change the name of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NEtoMW Great under sweaters
I just increased my inventory of these tanks as I find I wear them so frequently. They are great under sweaters - esp. light weight cotton cardigans (no worry about the 'gap' between buttons plus is more comfortable against skin). If between sizes, and going to be worn under another sweater, round down. I normally wear a medium in sweater, but buy a small in these. (The small is larger than those from another mfr. I had. They have a lot of stretch. I do air dry mine - or put on no heat in dryer - as I find the lycra stretch holds up better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JoJoshopper Need Petite length!
This is a nice quality tank with just the right cut in front. I am 5'1" and I ordered a size Small in white. The white is not see-through, by the way. It is neither tight nor too loose, so it's fine. But the length is too long on me and I am not someone who likes the short look. It covers most of my behind and ends where my thighs begin. This would be the perfect top if it were a couple of inches shorter. I would buy several if they come out with a Petite version.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nightgale Excellent, real clothing for real women
I rarely buy tanks because they are usually flimsy, thin strapped, half-transparent bits of fluff for gals who weigh 105 pounds and want to show the little cleavage they possess.
And now, voila! Nice fabric, slightly stretchy, but not tight, soft, not sheer, decent straps, securely stitched, modest but feminine cut, and the hem comes well below the belly button. And, extremely comfortable!
I wanted tanks specifically to go under the eyelet tunics and other LLB things where a subtle layer is necessary. These tanks look smooth under clothes.
However, they put me in a bind as they debuted the Spring fashions prior to showing all the tank top colors. This brings me to my little pet peeve with LLB. They don't do colors right.
(Of course, usually they do. They have conquered black, white and denim. Each season they have some lovely additions. But many are a shock. It is almost a trademark characteristic, this unbalanced palette, odd. I see many other comments on it.)
Well, make these tank tops in the same colors as the blouses. Pink blouse, pink tank, etc. And then, please, put them on sale simultaneously and in the same catalog!
Stone is a very good invisible base color! Is it for sale now? Anybody's guess. You have to live in fear of missing a catalog due to the unpredictability of these color variations. And the colors are never true on a monitor. I admit, however, most of my tanks did miraculously end up matched to the appropriate shirt.
