Rated 4 out of 5 by 2Shelties No trouble with mine
I was surprised to see all the negative reviews. Sure sounds like there was a quality problem for a while. However, I have one set that are a year old (print), and they have been fine. I just ordered a set on sale (solid) and they are fine too. They are among my favorite sheets. Feel good, launder well, and the fitted is deep enough for my thick mattress. Couple of notes, though: (1) the fabric feels a little different between older and newer. And I have one set of older solid yellow pillowcases that are very smooth to touch and never show a wrinkle. The new solid green set is not as smooth and is a little rumply after laundering. (2) I do not like the satin stitch hem on the flat sheet and pillowcase. I can tell it isn't going to wear like a traditional sewn hem with piping, and when the satin stitch goes, I'm not sure the sheet will be repairable.

I went ahead and purchased a set of these in March 2012. After an initial wash i noticed that there is a HUGE difference between the flat and the fitted sheet. The flat sheet is substantial and thick. However, the fitted sheet is flimsy and thin. I am sending back the fitted sheets in the hope that the whole set does not have to go back.
Looks like you have not solved this problem yet, LLBean!

Rated 2 out of 5 by PearlPlace Fraying Edges
We have had 2 sets of these sheets for less than two years. At first, we were delighted with them - soft, and no wrinkles. However, I have started to notice fraying at the folded edges of the top sheets and the pillow cases. This fraying occurs at the point where the stripes change from matte to satin. I do expect cotton sheets to fray at the fold, but not after only one year. Also, we have a deep mattress, but evidently not deep enough! The bottom queen sheet is too large! Finally, it is recommended that these sheets be washed in warm water. We need to wash our sheets in hot water to make sure to kill any critters and bacteria. We will be returning them after ordering something else.

I have tried twice with these sheets and have had to return them for shredding after only a few months. I like the feel, but the fitted sheet keeps shredding. Hopefully the third one will last. glad for the L L Bean guarantee.

Bought these sheets in Feb. 2011 based in part to favorable comments I'd seen in Consumer Reports. Maybe they tested different sheets. Signs of excessive wear started to appear after about four months until a hole appeared near the foot of the bottom sheet. Overall wear has rapidly continued and now they look like I've had them for years. Glad Bean stands behind their products!

We bought these sheets for a second home back in March. These sheets have not been used much nor washed that frequently. I was making the bed and as I was placing the fitted sheet on the bed, the fitted sheet ripped near the corner of the sheet. The flat sheet ripped at the stitching as I was pulling the sheet up towards the head board.
I am a long time buyer of LLBean products and never had a complaint regarding their quality nor construction of their products. I was very disappointed with these sheets. These sheets will be returning to LLBean.

These are incredibly comfortable sheets. I have to give them one star, however, because I've only owned them for six months and the stitching at the head of the sheet has started to pull apart. Thank goodness for LL Beans awesome returns policy, but reconsider purchasing these sheets unless you are okay with returning them every 6mos or so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mainexpat These sheets are a dream!
At first I was put off by the price. But I had a gift certificate and was tired of so-called luxury sheets that are thin, wrinkly and skimpily sized. These are the perfect combination of luxury and practicality. The fabric is silky soft but substantial and drapes beautifully. They're wrinkle-free right out of the dryer and stay that way on the bed. And they're very generously sized. If you're tired of compromising and want a true quality sheet, these are for you.

Bought this fitted sheet and matching monogramed pillow cases for my queen bed just 5 months ago. Loved the silky feel and the way there are virtually no wrinkles right out of the drier. However, I was shocked to find the same problem with fraying and a hole a the foot of the bed as reported by another customer. I too have never experienced this before in a sheet.

Finally, I have found sheets that come out unwrinkled, plus are very generously sized. The bottom sheet covers my thick mattress, and the flat top sheet is maybe a foot longer than my old sheets.
They feel silky soft - I have ordered two sets - the only wish is that there more colors from which to choose.
