Instead of the typical straight cut jean skirt, with pockets that make the skirt actually look like real jeans, this is much more feminine. And so many of that style are well above knee length. The fit and flare of this skirt style is flattering, falling to mid-knee on me (5'5-1/2"). I took the great advice of former reviewers, and ordered this in a 12, when i normally wear Bean size 14. Had no choice, since 14's were sold out!
My figure now includes tummy bulge, but still with a pear shape. Though the skirt is tight around my midriff area, the material loosens as you wear it, like most denim does. As long as these are on sale in your size - buy one!

I ordered this skirt in a size 4 PET, in the Loden. It fits me well. (I am 115 lbs, just under 5'4". My normal inseam for pants would be 29 1/2".) I keep hoping LL Bean will restock the KHAKI, which seemed to sell out immediately. It would also be really nice in NAVY and STONE twill for summer. I've received many compliments on it. It has a bit of swing and flare, and falls at the knee. It looks great with boots and tights; I hope to wear it with flats in the spring. I would also loveto see this skirt in a fine-wale CORDUROY for next fall - chocolate brown, navy, cream, camel, black. (Are you listening, Apparel Ordering Dept?)

These are really nice denim skirts - will wear for years to come. Love the stretch - spandex! In regular LL Bean line - I would wear a 12 - so ordered the size 12 regular in both colors. One skirt was 23 inches long and it should have been 24.5 inches. Both were very large for a 12. Since I really needed closer to the 24.5 inch length - and the large size of the 12 - I sent them back. I ended up purchasing 1 dark indigo and 2 stonewash in size 10 regular. They are 24 inches long - and will keep them at that. The fit of the size 10 Reg is great - and that stretch is very forgiving!! The skirts are made well - always love LL Beans denim skirts! Requesting that they offer some at around 25.5 inches or so in length for us 'mature' gals. I love shopping at LL Bean - they offer basic/classic style clothing that will last for years! I do recommend these skirts - but I think most are saying they run big so beware - and beware of the length variance. I am very happy with my 3 denim skirts in size 10 Reg!

I have two of these gored jean skirts - one in the darker and one in the lighter wash. I bought the darker one first in my normal pant size, and while I can make it work, it's definitely noticeably big on me. I bought the second stonewash color, and I bought it one size down. It fits perfectly! It hits at just the right spot on my leg, and is very comfortable all day. It is sturdy and great for a variety of different activities. Will very likely be purchasing another in the future! If you're waffling between sizes, go for the smaller of the two, as this definitely does run a little big.

I ordered the petite, size 4 in loden (also one in denim) and the fit/length is perfect. I am 5'4, 115 lbs. It went through the washer and dryer without requiring any ironing. I have received many compliments on it each time I've worn it - the flared shape is very flattering for small-waisted but curvy hipped women like me. It looks great with dress boots and tights. I only wish there were more colors available in my size. I would buy this in navy, black, khaki and/or stone if available. I love this skirt - it would be equally cute with ballet flats in the spring/summer.

I must say, I didn't like the skirt at all when I first tried it on. I was having a blah day and my figure showed it. When your stomach is the heavier side of your body, this skirt isn't figure flattering. But it has become my favorite skirt. I love where it hits right at the top of my boots. I am glad that I read the reviews, because I ordered a size below my regular LL Bean size and it fit perfectly. I only gave 4 stars because, I do believe it could be a bit more tailored in the waist and the clasp is a little bulky.... but it didn't stop me from ordering 2 more in different colors.

I love this skirt!! Initially, I had dropped 10 lbs and was hesitant to buy the skirt before losing my entire 40lbs. I figured it could be a awhile and didn't want to wait. I did lose another 5 lbs and at 5'8" and 190 it still fits great. The skirt falls just where I like, below the knee, but barely...I'd love to get all my skirts to fit this well! I love LL Beans clothing!!!

The jean skirt is well made, sturdy, comfy, beautiful, versatile, long enough... everything I could possibly have wanted in a skirt. VERY VERY HAPPY. I weigh 140 lbs and am 5'9" and I fit into the size 8 with a bit of room to spare.

Good comfortable skirt that is appropriate with a nicer shirt for the workweek or a t-shirt for the weekend. I am very curvy and this skirt is fits me well with no alterations needed. It rides a bit high in the waist for me. I think the original waist band in the earlier versions of the denim skirt was better but it is great that this is finally available in a fabric that I can wear to work.
