Rated 3 out of 5 by HydroJet Looks best tucked in
I really like the small navy plaid pattern I chose. I'm 5'10" with a 38" bust and the M fits with no pulling on the buttons. It is appropriate for both field and office work, for me. I agree with others in that the darts are too severe. It's cut very mom-like and poofs out from the waist, which is why I tuck it in. The collar is also quite loose on me; I have a 14" neck. My real complaint is that the sleeves are too short. They end 3" from my wrists, so I roll them up. I would recommend this shirt on sale or clearance, but it has too many issues to buy full price.

I got this shirt on a whim and am so impressed by it. The greens and blues are vivid and summery without being too bright, the fit is nice (casual but fitted enough for work).

I ordered the medium in a periwinkle. Nice color and pattern, but though it's my size it looks ill-fitting--nipped in too much in the middle and too long. If I button the bottom buttons it looks tight. Even unbuttoned it doesn't fit right. A larger size would be too big. I've bought LL Bean shirts before and they've looked good on me. But if Bean continues to market this kind of styling, I won't buy the shirts. I believe this change in the styling is a change for the worse. Sorry.

I already have two Eastport shirts, one is washed indigo, the other a pink plaid no longer available. I ordered the moss plaid to wear under my green Double L Cotton Crewneck. The color match was good, but otherwise I agree with recent reviewers on this shirt. The collar is large. The shirt looks puffy where it flares outward at the darts. There seemed to be a difference in this fabric from my other shirts. It was already puckered and wrinkled in the seams and looked like it would be an ironing nightmare. It might be fine to wear casually this summer, unironed, with sleeves rolled, but not with my sweater. Thanks to L.L.Bean's great return policy, I've already replaced it with a plaid wrinkle resistant shirt that complements my sweater.

This is a nice looking shirt, offered in a variety of plaids, but I found the neck/collar opening to be too large with respect to the rest of the shirt which fit fine. I'm going to send them back.

I was very unhappy with this shirt. The material does not have a soft feel. The plaid actually looks like a picnic tablecloth. Also the length was about 3 inches too long for me. I would have returned it, however, I washed it with hopes that somehow that would help. It didn't.

This is a wonderful shirt. I love the triple stitching and attention to details. I'm 5'2'' and 119 pounds and the small fit me perfectly and was very comfortable. There are slight gussets at the sleeves and in back. The weight is perfect for layering under a sweater or over a tee shirt.

I ordered two of these shirts in chambray and indigo washed. They fit, they look nice, but the fabric is very, very thin.
I am sending them back.
Also there are threads hanging from the seams, like they missed quality control.
I'm not sure how they would come out of the wash when there is so little substance to them.
I know that cotton has gone up in price and it is difficult to find shirts that are not see-through thin.
I would gladly pay more for shirts that are more substantial.
The extremely lightweight fabric should be part of the description.

Really a neat, clean looking shirt. I was surprised that it is as tidy looking. True to size & well made w/little pink seam running along inside button placket. All inner edges finished - very nice!

I got the periwinkle plaid shirt, not the denim that keeps coming up for a review. The plaids do need ironing for a crisper look. They fit true to size. I got a medium and I have plenty of room for a tee or turtleneck under it. I am a plaid person, so this is a perfect shirt for me. I like it a lot, so it will get plenty of wear.
