Rated 1 out of 5 by vviolet Nice Idea, Poorly Executed
I wanted to like this shirt, really I did.
First, what is the deal with the darts at the bustline? I think LL Bean has some kind of fetish with darts. On a somewhat oversize style shirt, what is the point of those wimpy little darts? Ok, that's just a personal pet peeve.
The sleeves are way too long. The shoulder seam fit perfectly, and the nice tunicky length was great, but the overall effect was rather bag-like, understanding that it is not supposed to be a fitted shirt.
Extraordinarily wrinkly, I know it's linen, but REALLY. Very itchy, like sandpaper. I would need to wear a turtleneck under it, which would look pretty stupid.
The details are great. I love the details, which is why I gave this shirt a try. I love the stitching on the front, I love the collar, I love the detail on the back yoke, I love the length--the length a tunic is SUPPOSED to be, I love the side vents, I even love the cuffs, though the darn sleeves are two or three inches too long. I would like to see this style in plain old cotton, in cream, taupe, or black. It would then be a nice light open shirt over a tee or a tank top. No stripes, no prints, no cutesy. Not knit, but a nice cotton. Nice try, but Bean, I would love this in cotton, on a very, very slightly, SLIGHTLY more fitted, scale. I returned it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AmericaJane How NOT to Iron Linen
I refuse to iron linen, as I am sweaty by the time I'm ready to put the item on. So, here is a trick. Use liquid fabric softener in the wash. Then use two dryer sheets in the dryer, even add a dryer ball.. Take out before completely dry. Stretch seams with a pop to unwrinkle them. Hang up.
It will look almost exactly as it does if you a) iron it and b) wear it for five minutes.
Note, linen is quite warm, that is why we use tissue weight for summer. The more you beat it up, the softer it gets, so don't feel badly about washing every time to you wear it.

This wrinkles badly! Keeping that in mind, I still like it. I like the available colors. However, for me it did run large. I'm not sure how to handle that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Zither Wonderful for hot weather
This is a lovely shirt, of a quality we see all too little of these days. I bought it in two colors, and can't help considering a third. It is beautifully made, and I love the softly rumpled texture it gets from a gentle spin in the dryer. It's as cool as seersucker on a hot day, and has an elegant, feminine, and flattering style. I'm delighted that the sleeves are long enough for me.
My only complaint is that there are two sharp, indestructible plastic tickets sewn into the side seam at the waist, with a spare button and foreign-language laundering instructions. They were very uncomfortable, but to remove them I had to cut open the seam AND take out the stitching that keeps the seam edges from ravelling. Now I'll have to do a mending job on a new shirt. Please, LL Bean, consider banning these nasty things in your products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by YukonDogMum Beautiful, cool, well-styled
Am so thankful for the other reviews detailing sizing experience. Thanks to these, I sized up to a large (am 5'7", 147 lb), instead of my usual medium. Have just received the beautiful clover version, and just adore it right out of the bag. I wanted this to be loose & flowing, as it was on the model pictured, and that's exactly what I have got. Will still be OK if it shrinks a bit in the dryer. I love the qualities of linen - cool, naturally anti-microbial, pearly against the skin, & this will provide good coverage from sun & mosquitoes in the summer heat. I don't expect linen to stay "starched" looking, & I don't mind a few wrinkles. I find linen that is hung to dry can smooth out quite well. Have also order the Opal Blue, & very much looking forward to it as well.

This is a great top but after only one wash it looks awful, even after ironing! I am returning this and do not recommend it.

This shirt runs large. I exchanged a small for an extra small and it fits great!!! It is casual with a feminine touch.

CleanBohemian My favorite shirt
It's linen folks, and the natural tendancy for linen is to wrinkle. That's what makes it attractive. I washed mine and ran over it quickly with an iron and let it be itself. I have received numerous compliments and want two more colors when they are available. It is comfortable and cool in hot weather. People that want a wrinkle-free linen shirt should stick with polyester or knit shirts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by saramay disappointed
I love linen and ordered several items including this lovely tunic blouse. When it arrived I was immediately disappointed in the color. It was not a good white and I love pure white. It looks almost cream against a pure white. Then secondly when I tried it on, it was too small altho' I always wear a large in L.L.Bean clothing and have no problems. This was definitely too tight in the chest and hips. Not at all a lose fitting garment as the picture indicates. I'm sure the other colors would be fine. Even this was nice but not pure white.
I recommend it because of the style and that it is linen, and IF you have narrow hips and chest. Sadly, I must return it.

You asked for it--I hate it!! Followed laundry instructions; was so wrinkled and twisted out of the dryer, it required ironing. But that was not easy and I was very unhappy with the results. Doubt that I will wear it again!!!!
