Great pants! It fit me perfectly, though the waist was kinda higher than usual, it did not bother me. Washed well, no shrinkage (followed washing directions). Drapes well and is super comfy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mooreflowers Nice cut but way to high in the waist
I have bought many boot cut Perfect Fit Pants but felt that I wanted a more narrow leg. These are perfect for the leg but the rise comes up to my bra line. Maybe I am short waisted but have never had a problem. I hate sending things back...I may wash and hope they shrink some.

I see others have found the same problem with these. I am a 73-year old with slim hips and legs. I purchased these because of the "slim" option and because I needed the color. Holy Smokes! I think I could fit two of my thighs and legs in each pant leg. They are way too wide. Back to the drawing board on these LL Bean. Maybe a super slim size? LL Bean has great products. I'll just exchange them for something else.

Rated 5 out of 5 Truly Perfect Pants!
Love these pants!! The fold over waist is wonderful and smooth /flat under all tops. The fabric keeps its shape. Even when I sit with my legs curled up - they're fine when I stand up! They are 10% lycra, which is unusual- and means they keep their color and shape through many launderings. Length was perfect, too. Now that I've finished writing this, I will proceed to buy more!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by llbeaniebabe Terrible fabric, worn twice already pilling
Bought a pair in Olive Heather in August when they were marked down. Because of the warm weather I only started wearing them in the last week. On my second wearing, I noticed the fabric is pilling like crazy. I have bought perfect fit pants for years and have never experience this before. I will have to send them back which is a shame because I really like them before this happened.

Sans-waistband style continues to fit in the winter, when I seem to always "bulk up." Wish I these were still available in size 4 petite!

Rated 3 out of 5 by NorCal50 Not Slim
If you are looking for a pair of close fitting pants to wear with a tunic, these are too baggy. I prefer not to wear pants that are as tight as leggings, but these are not very slim at all. I have a very old pair of this style that was cut much better. Guess I will keep wearing them in spite of the color fade.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chapala Not slim enough
I wish LL Bean would make a "perfect fit" in a truly slim cut. While fitting better than the other styles, they still are somewhat baggy in the leg for a so-called slim. And, I find the waist is too high. I also miss pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jordanpondtrail Three Styles of Perfect Fit Pants
I read lots of reviews, but decided it would be best to buy three different styles I was interested in and try them out for myself. I bought the Original Fit, Straight Leg, and Slim Fit pants in black. All were size Large Medium/Tall. Here are my impressions.
Original Fit: Gathered waistband which would show gathers even when wearing a longish top. The front has too much extra fabric. The waistband has tendency to roll more than with the other pants, when sitting. The width of the tapered leg was fine. I didn't care for the fit, so these are going back.
Straight Leg: I thought of these as the wide leg pants because the width of the leg is greater than with the others, but it is not wider than other pants in my closet. It is not really a wide leg, it just seems that way in comparison to the other styles. I likes the flatter style of waistband. There is no extra baggy fabric in front like with the Original Fit. The wider leg combined with the M/T length though seems sloppy to me. I either need to return these for the regular length or hem them myself. I might just keep them and hem them because I think the regular length at 30" will be too short. My inseam is about 31" for other pants. M/T used to be 31.5" but apparently now it is 32" to 32.5".
Slim Fit: No waistband style, which seems to bother a lot of other reviewers because the waistband is designed not to show. So it's not sewn down inside the pants. Didn't bother me at all and I like the smooth look of no waistband. I thought these would be tight and clingy like leggings, but they're not. The width of the leg is about the same as Original Fit, but I don't think they are a tapered leg. I was surprised to find that I liked these the best. I don't think I will be able to wear them with my tall boots, though. They are not slim enough and they look a little too baggy for that. The Slim Fit are keepers, though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CladM So unflattering
I loved the fabric, but the cut was very matronly and just looked like I was going to work in food service. No matter how I would have tried to dress it up, the cut would be working against me. The rise is unbearably high, the elastic in the waistband rolled when I pulled them on, and the waist was really tight. Just very outdated and not at all stylish. They're going back,
