Material seems nice enough but my Med was more like a XL.
I have never had a medium shirt that is as tent like as this one.

Realy lightweight, comfortable casual shirt perfect for steamy summer days and nights. In fact, much lighter and more breathable than the tropic weight shirt, which i returned. Great looking, too. I got four of them in different colors/patterns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Poloman Best Shirt For Arizona Summer
This shirt is amazing! I've had it for one week and have officially given it the title of my go-to shirt to battle Arizona summer heat. We hit 100 degrees this week and I stayed cool all day at the office (yes, we are very casual here). This will be my go-to shirt from May-Oct. I had no problems with excessive wrinkling after the first wash and dryer run. My wife did take it out after 3-5 minutes of drying time and let it air dry on a hanger. The fit and finish of this shirt is great. The quality of the material is first class and right in line with LL Bean standards we know and trust. I really like the blue plaid color pattern. I wish this came in more colors like the dusty olive tropic shirt. This is an awesome shirt. Get some.

I bought some of these shirts last year for my husband and two so far this year. I don't know why someone said they don't wash up well. Maybe they don't know that seersucker is supposed to pucker. I think they come out of the dryer great.
My husband says they are really comfortable too.
Colors are beautiful.

I like this shirt, the fit is great (love the tall sizes), material is cool and comfortable in So. Cal, and the colors and selection are decent. it has a straight collar with no buttons and straight hem so it can be worn untucked.
As mentioned by many it is not a dryer friendly fabric. This method works for me and no need to touch up with an iron. I toss my shirts like this into the dryer for about 3-5 min, then place on a hanger while still damp. I use my hands to flatten the collar, the button strips and the sleeves, then I hang it up.Give it a try - it works.
Maybe once after every 5-6 washes I might need to run an iron along the back sides of the button strips to flatten, and the back side of the collar.
The shirt is seersucker so I doubt it is supposed to be ironed, kind of defeats the purpose of the material.

Rated 2 out of 5 by jockadog Avoid this shirt unless you like to iron
As some previous reviewers have mentioned, this shirt does not wash/dry well (I wish I had paid attention to those reviews before ordering). Bottom line: the shirt must be ironed. The material strip that holds the buttons curls after drying (low heat, tumble dry as recommended) and the collar curls. The shirt must be ironed after drying which makes it more work than it is worth. I returned the two that I purchased. L.L. Bean is always great about returns, even after washing. My recommendation is to look for a seersucker or "pucker" shirt that contains a cotton/poly blend. These will wash/dry much better.

My husband could not be more happy with the way this shirt feels and looks. The material is light weight so it's cool, it feels soft to the touch, and it washes/dries like a dream ... it doesn't need even a touch up ironing.

This is a great shirt till you wash it. Even if you are fortunate enough to catch the dryer as it stops it will come out in need of ironing. The problem is mainly the front placket curling over badly on the edges, but the bottom of the tail suffers from that, too.
Fix those and you will have a great summer shirt.

The seersucker summer shirt is comfortable and lightweight. I've not washed it yet, but so far appears very durable. It sets a good casual vibe without making me look too much like a Father's Day sales ad! Don't worry about ironing (you're not supposed to - its seersucker!) This has become one of my favorite summer shirts.
