Rated 5 out of 5 by SamDriver Great shirt and a good deal when on sale.
I was looking for "moisture wicking" T-shirts. Lots of options from other sites when you are willing to pay $20 to $30 for them. Honestly, I only bought these b/c they were on sale and the cheapest shirt I could find that seemed to fit the bill. I also liked that the fabric was a 60/40 synthetic/cotton blend.
I bought the large size and the fit on me is perfect (I am 5'11", 185lbs, and wear a size 42 sport coat). I would venture to say that the fit is slightly "trim" or "athletic" which is what I was looking for.
Length is adequate. I don't tuck T-shirt shirts in and this one isn't overly long (but seems like there enough to tuck in if I wanted to).
Fabric isn't as smooth on the skin as 100% cotton but I find the shirt very comfortable to wear. Some might consider the fabric to be a hair on the thin side but I don't think that it is too thin (I don't like thick fabric like the Hanes Beefy-T).
I plan on taking two of these shirts on a backpacking trip to the Winds in WY. Based on what I have seen so far, I think they will hold up well and wear comfortably under my pack during the day or as a base layer in the evenings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by FishingMad Nice shirt but -
I really liked the feel of this shirt - it was exactly what I was after - but it's way to small.
The large is at least two inches short in body length compared to my normal large sized Bean T-shitrs that fit me well.
Because this is mail order the sizing should be more consistent in my opinion and would make ordering sight-unseen more user friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MissAlice Mr Picky loves 'em
My absolutely wonderful husband of 43 plus years is the skrinchiest guy about shirts-but he absolutely loves these.
I'm writing this only because I read some of these negative reviews and am just floored.

My husband loves these shirts, I wish they had a lot more to choose from, with graphics. He's a tennis coach and is out in the hot sun for hours at a time. He loves the soft feel and light weight of these shirts. They're his go-to shirts in hot weather.

Very disappointed in these - I bought 6 for my trip to Italy and I packed them still wrapped. When I unpacked them I was shocked at what little my money bought. These shirts are not worth more than $5 each. My first bad purchase at LL Bean. I will be more careful in the future.

My impression is similar to other reviewers - the material is very thin, even more so than a 'regular' cotton undershirt; they are sized quite short; they pill and do not feel soft to the touch. Simply not worth the money.

I am confused because I do not understand the negative reviews for these shirts. I think they are great. I like the fit and the look of them. I wear them for working out hiking and undershirts when it is cold. They are great for all these uses. They are fantastic for hiking because they wick moisture so well and dry so quickly. Honestly I can not say enough good about them.

At the start, it was a great, comfortable t-shirt. But then, it started to wear very quickly. It pills all over, and costs too much for the lack of durability that it has.

The fabric is fine if you're okay with lightweight. Sizing runs small and the length is at least two inches too short. If you get it tucked in, it's not going to stay there. LL Beans regular T is a better value and a better fit.
