This is the most comfortable folding chair I've ever sat in. I love it!

My nephew bought one for his wife for Christmas. My wife and I go to watch their sons play baseball all over the state so we do a lot of sitting. We bought two for ourselves after buying another for him. There hasn't been a chair that we found reliable or comfortable until the Strongback Elite. You don't sag like those canvas chairs. There is no webbing to get worn out. They are strong and a bit higher when you sit down so you get on and off with ease. Our nephew bought two more for their sons and I know once baseball gets up and running, sales from our neck of the woods will explode. I wish we found these sooner. We plan on going to watch our friends daughters play softball so almost every night we will be sitting in comfort while enjoying the kids and fellowship. Thank you so much. Miltball

Rated 4 out of 5 by Troutaholic Nice, comfy Camp Chair
The chair seems to be quality built and is comfortable. I have only sat in it once upon it's arrival. It is a bit heavy, but look, I was seeking a reliable, sturdy chair to take camping. The carry bag is of a very thin material...I am praying that it manages to hold up...as you almost have to shoe-horn the chair into it to fit. Although the chair is comfy, you will be challenged a bit getting up on your feet due to the angle of the seat and seat back. After taking delivery, I read a few online reviewers who, while using the chair armrest, to get up, had them fail/break. I would be extremely upset if this happened to me? especially since the chair is very expensive. Also, for some reason, it wasn't easy to fold-up the chair when I went to put it away. No instructions come with the chair, either. Considering everything, I gave it 4 stars vs 5.

Rated 4 out of 5 by POKLimey Too high
This is an excellent chair but unsuitable for anyone shorter than 5' 9" since the front is too high off the ground which means your legs dangle and the support strut digs in on the underside of your thighs.
- I'll be returning it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sharpthorn Comfortable Chair but Storage Bag Problems
The chair itself deserves 5 stars. It is very comfortable, well-made, and opens and closes easily. The storage/carry bag is not the same quality as the chair and there is not much "wiggle" room in the bag making it difficult to get the chair in and out. I will have to find a different way to carry the chair around. I would recommend the chair to a friend, but not the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 3020 Great Gift
We gave this as a gift to our son-in-law who had back surgery last year. This is the perfect chair for summer concerts, picnics, beach - it is no heavier than our other canvas chairs but provides much more support and is easier to get in and out of. Great chair! Happy guy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by OP23 Poor Quality Chair
Although very comfortable I can't recommend this chair because of the quality of the workmanship and design. After 6 months one of the bolts broke on the leg making the chair unusable. Thinking that I must have gotten a defective chair I exchanged it for another one. However, I had the same problem with the replacement after a couple of months. Fortunately since LL Bean has the best return policy of any store I have shopped at, I was able to return it for a refund.
After my experience with the Strongback chair I have come to the conclusion that there is something inherently defective with the chair's design and that LL Bean should stop selling the chair.
