Rated 5 out of 5 by kenb73 Best Camp Chair Out There
Everyone that sits in this chair loves it! I bought my first Strongback chair because my back couldn't handle sitting in regular camp chairs and I tried several. After purchasing one of these, that problem disappeared and my Strongback chair is what I crave when my back starts hurting. This is my second Strongback Elite and the only reason I bought another is that my heavier friends wore out the first one. Which brings up the only downfall to this chair, the 300lb. weight limit. While the price is also a little high, its worth it for the comfort. As long as you can keep your friends out of it, you won't be disappointed!

I love the chair. Very comfortable and great for my back.
The only negative is the carry bag. It isn't very strong and have noticed that there are some holes starting.

by Paparentman Chair is comfortable, but rivets keep breaking
First rivet broke within first 5 uses. I replaced it with a small bolt, then second rivet broke, another small bolt. Now 3rd rivet has broken. Not having luck fixing it this time. Will attempt to return after writing this. Chair is also has become difficult to open and close. When chair is open and not broken it is very comfortable. Don't get numb on the backside like with other chairs. Unless they have improved quality since I bought mine in July 2014, I think it is a waste of money for the price they are getting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SoftballVolleyMom GREAT BUY!
I love how it supports your back and folds up. For years I was looking for a chair that was a reasonable weight, in a bag and was not a chair that rounded my back when I sat in it. I am getting another one!
Wish it was a little lighter though............it sure beats a regular fold up chair

thank you for the improved design of this chair! -we have had 2 of these chairs in the past and encountered durability issues w where the back meets the seat of the chair- this model eliminates that stress point by not connecting the back to the seat. bravo! this chair will last a lifetime now!!
and we will be back to buy another!

Rated 2 out of 5 by OpaofSeven Weak rivets
My wife bought two of these. I weigh about 190 lbs, which is big, but not excessively so. For the price, this chair should easily hold my weight. Very shortly after getting the chairs, one of the rivets in the cross braces to the front legs broke and fell out. LLBean replaced the chair. Shortly thereafter another rivet broke in one of the front crossmembers. Again LLBean replaced the chair. If the chairs came with a repair kit, i.e. a half dozen small bolts such as is used on the cup holder, then the chair could be easily repaired.
Also, for the amount of money this chair costs, the bag could be a tad bigger. It is so tight that I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it rips apart. And then LLBean will replace the chair again (unless they've got replacement bags). I love LLBean, but this chair, for the money, is *not* a good buy. I gave two stars because the return policy is great. Otherwise this would be a one star chair.

I am handicapped & hoped I'd be able to sleep in the chair when visiting my children since I can't use a bed. The seat of the chair is too low for me to get out of without assistance. It's a very stable chair but didn't my specific need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PHSinNC Really comfortable!
I ordered one of the Strongback Elite chairs for a test-sit. Both my husband and I were so impressed, we ordered a second. The chair design really does provide good support for the lower back, and it's much easier to stand up from this chair than others. The seat itself is just deep enough to give good support without cutting into the back of your knees or thighs. Love the "real" armrests on this chair, too - SO much more comfortable than "sling" armrests on other chairs.
I'm 5'5" tall and my husband is 6'2" - and the chair is comfortable for each of us. Being the shorter person, I don't have any trouble with my feet not touching the ground. My husband is a seating components engineer, so he's pretty picky about how chairs "sit." This one is a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PAPROF Nice Chair!
I ordered this because I was getting backaches from my traditional camp folding chairs at my child's sporting events. This provides a great level of support for your lower back. As other reviewers have pointed out this is not a chair for shorter people. The only criticism I would have is that I would like a better cupholder. This is a bit heavier than a normal camp chair but that is because it is such a solidly built chair.

I bought this chair because I have back problems and the reviews were positive. The chair arrived and I set it up and sat in it. I am 5' 6"tall, female and 130 lbs. I was unable to have my feet on the ground, the chair seems to go up in front. Also there is no support for the neck. The back support seemed good and this chair may work for a very big and tall person. The fabric seems like a cheap nylon and is not comfortable. Only 1 drink holder was attached, the label said two. My husband at 6' 2" and 180 lbs did not find the chair comfortable either. We returned the chair.
