My 7 year old prefers to wear rash guard shirts instead of regular bathing suit tops, so this is perfect for us. It is cut a little short, we went up a size, and I'm sure it won't fit for next year, but she is going to get a lot of use out of it over the summer.

My 4-year-old daughter selected the Blue Reef (light aqua color) swim shirt and coordinating swim skirt, and we really like this set! The colors are beautiful, and the pieces are well-made. My daughter is tall and slender, so we went with the medium size (little girls medium 5-6), which is loose on her, but we wanted to fit next year as well. The shirt covers her long torso, and the swim skirt (little girls size 5) fits comfortably. I'm glad we bought a size bigger than her age, so hopefully she can wear it next year as well. Thanks!

Agreeing with others on sizing generally speaking. My petite 8-yr-old needed me to get a M 10-12 simply to cover her belly button, and it's still "perfect" in the shoulders. I am doubtful it will even get another year's wear after this year. So while it fits great NOW..... Honestly she's still wearing size 6 clothes overall, even in shirts and most 8s are too big (and they're certainly long enough) so this was a huge surprise to have to return the S and get a M simply to get basic coverage. Not very functional as a rash guard if it doesn't cover.

The overall fit of this is loose, but that is fine. Looks very cute with the coordinating shorts. This will be great for the long days playing at the beach to avoid too much sun on the shoulders. Great quality! I did not find it to be too short like other reviewers, and my daughter is really tall.

Runs very SHORT. Weird. I ordered the 8 for my 8 yr old daughter. fits every wear but is loose and short, like a belly shirt. NOT good for boogie boarding. This Rash guard will not protect you from getting a RASH. Returning.

These arrived today - I ordered 2 x size 10-12 hoping they would fit my tall, almost-8 y.o. and 10 y.o. but almost too small (certainly too short in the back) for my elder daughter, and will just hope my younger one won't have a growth spurt in the next couple of months. Am sending 1 back to exchange it for larger size as it looks lovely apart from that - pity about having to pay return shipping from Canada!!

NWGirlMom Nice Surf Shirt - great sun protection
I recently bought two of these for two different kids really needing excellent sun protection on a 10 day Hawaiian vacation and this shirt delivered. The fit was perfect and both girls chose to wear it nearly every single time they were out. I bought a S for my daughter wearing a size 8 suit and L for my daugther wearing a size 16 suit. I bought these for my Granddaughters. They wear them to the pool everyday and on their trips to the beach. They protect them from the sun and warm them up on cooler days. They wear extremely well. I have been buying them every year.

this has been the most awesome swimwear for my daughter. She has very sensitive skin and does not like to wear traditional swimwear. She loves this style for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, well all of her outside/water events.
The sad thing is she has grown out of the "kids" sizes.
It would be great to see this same style in adult sizes. In fact our whole family and several of our kayaking friends and family would love to see this style in adult sizes. It is the perfect fit, just loose enough to be able to move freely and no "binding" seams, etc.
We tried the Hydro wear available but the neck is too high and the material is too "binding" to the body for full comfort.
This is awesome quick drying material as well and we would love to see it move into the adult swimwear/active wear.
I would be placing orders for 4 of them if they existed.

This shirt fits well and provides great coverage from the sun. My daughter wears it daily and it is holding up well.
