I LOVE Adventure Totes! One stays packed for trips to the gym/pool: it holds all my stuff without being big and bulky. It was "old" when I took it abroad in 2005, and it's still going strong. I have a new medium, too, because there's always something to lug. One of my two XL totes lives in the car for any unexpected duty--shopping, laundry, collecting things left unpacked at camp, etc. Nice colors and monogramming, too. (Why shouldn't functional also be pretty?) Especially practical for travel: it's very light and folds flat in a suitcase or duffel, ready for day trips or shopping at my destination or carrying souvenirs home. My only dilemma is a good one: for this summer's trip shall I take this or my Stowaway backpack (272262)?

I want to use this bag as an weekend bag. It seems to be large enough to hold all that I need. I haven't used it yet, but am confident that it will work well. It is very well made and will stand up to be tossed in my car.

Wasn't sure what size to get, but large was perfect. Fits all of my running/hiking gear and then some, but I'd rather have too much room than not enough. Pockets are nice. Sturdy but very light weight.

As always I love L.L. Bean's construction, love everything about these bags, I bought the large in snapdragon for my daughter and the x-large in navy for myself. I recently used them for a 5 day trip and they were more than sufficient and we had room to spare.

I have a set of the original Adventure Totes ... before the extra exterior pockets were added. And they have remained my favorites. Until this incarnation of this Tote II. I really like the addition of the shoulder strap, and the removal of all those exterior pockets that just got in the way and added to the weight of the bag. I just wish I had ordered more than one of the medium size while they were in stock.
This tote is roomy without being bulky. The medium is a good size for daily hauling of stuff; the large one is enough for a weekend trip. I bet if you add the extra large in there, you could run away from home for a while!
And if the fabric holds up as well as that on the original totes, you've got bags good for a long time.

Purchased two of these to replace older tote bags. I LOVE IT!!! It is very convenient and holds a bunch of "stuff". This will be easy to use for traveling with additional items that one always seems to pick up when traveling. The tote will pack nicely in the bottom of a suitcase for this very reason. I have used it once already and it came in real handy. Quality is great (as always). I look forward to using it more.

Very nice looking. Well made. I originally wanted to use it as an everyday bag, however, it was a little larger than I thought it would be. I gave it to my granddaughter who will use it for a sleep-over.
Also, please note, there is not a "firm" bottom to the bag.

I ordered a medium and an extra large for an upcoming trip, and both are exactly what I wanted. The airline has reduced the weight for a carry-on to 22 pounds, so the larger one makes it easy to conform to that restriction, and the smaller one is a lightweight personal bag. The colors are very pretty too. Another reviewer had mentioned that the bag is not structured enough to stand up by itself, but I use packing cubes and plastic bags for separating my clothes, etc., so that is fine with me. I like everything about them.

This is a great beach bag. It will hold towels, sweatshirt and all your lotions. I love the shoulder strap on this bag that the previous beach totes did not have. I like it so much, I'm thinking of ordering another!

I love this bag. I got the aqua one and it is so pretty. Very durable and easy to take things in and out of. Very roomy inside. Strap is easy to use. Nice as a carry-on on an airplane and it fits handily under the seat. I am along time Bean customer and have never bought a bad product from them, everything has been of high quality. You won't regret buying this bag.
