Rated 4 out of 5 by WildernessExplorer Better than the average towel
These towels actually absorb water rather than just move water around and are warm. The towels are a decent size, bath towels cover the body of an average person well. Towel will dry over night. Overtime the towels hold up very well, after nearly two years worth of laundering the towels are still in nearly new condition. I have also bought these towels as gifts for family members and a friend. Of the several sets of towels I have purchased, I have seen one towel with a section of thread that has snagged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Newatbridge These are the only towels for me!
I just ordered my 3rd set of these towels. And I have ordered 2 sets of hand towels for my half bath. I love these towels! They appear thin, but they absorb well and dry quickly after each use. They do not take up much room when folded and stored in my linen closet. And the bath towel is larger than other brand towels I used to get. Thin face towels are a plus, too. Not that I?ll ever need to buy more towels, these will last for years. Although if a lime color green is ever offered, I may have to reconsider. I had to return the Army color green.

Washed repeated in hot water and dried on high, they smell clean, feel great on my face, they're thin enough to dry between my toes, they haven't changed color, they don't curl, pucker or ravel. They simply hang straight, dry quickly and look good. What's not to like?

Rated 5 out of 5 by rcita Not fluffy, but a great towel
I didn't think I'd like these towels - I generally prefer the high-pile, fluffy, terrycloth variety - but these work so well and then - maybe even more importantly - dry quickly when hanging in a small, busy bathroom. I've suffered with slightly damp towels for a while now, and these are the answer to my problems. I'm likely going to replace out the other towels with these as they wear out, so please don't discontinue them!

These are great towels and offer you a great value. Yes they are light weight and that is the only thing to be of concern. If you like heavy terry towels stay away from these.

When I spotted these towels in the Bean catalog, I had just returned from a trip to Turkey where I learned that Turkish towels aren't necessarily big and fluffy the way we think of them. I was ready for a different sort of towel, and I needed to replace my guest bathroom towels.
I ordered these in the flint blue color which was just the shade I was looking for.
They're great to use, nice looking in an appealingly utilitarian way, and when I washed them before use I found out that they line-dry perfectly and quickly! You know how some environmentally conscious people have been line-drying towels for years and ignoring the rough, matted results? With these towels you can be environmentally conscious, save energy and $ by not using your dryer, and have soft, good looking towels anyway. Win/win!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Danale Hair towels please!
Please LL Bean make this towel in a 'hair towel' size too. 24 x 44 or maybe 24 x 45 inches!
I absolutely love these towels as the absorb everything fast and are lightweight. I just need a large enough towel for hands and hair and you're not making that size yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by OnlineTchr Beautiful but shrink
I bought these in the color flint blue. They are beautiful towels but they do shrink quite a bit. The difference between one that had been washed and dried a few times and a brand new one was about 4" in length (bath towel). Because of the shrinkage, they also get a little "rough" feeling over time as the weave tightens up. I have found that adding some white vinegar to the final rinse helps soften them as it also removes any residual detergent. You might avoid some shrinkage if you do not let them completely dry in the drier, but that's a little too much maintenance for a bath town (in my opinion). The colors are very nice. I saw them at Bean's Home store in Freeport, and they are gorgeous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by feta Best towels ever!
I always thought bath towels had to be thick to be absorbent, but not the case with these towels. They soak up the water, but are not bulky in any way. They wash great - no lint or pilling. After two days of using them, I got back online and ordered more - I'm replacing all my bath towels with these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Frangipani14 Quick drying and soft
Some of our other towels do not dry very well and we have had trouble with mildew. These towels are great--quick drying and soft. No mildew! They are larger than many bath towels too (not what I was looking for but good) and come in nice colors (except the coral, which I returned). We bought more of these towels for our sailboat because of their quick-dry qualities. They seem to be working well but we haven't tested them yet while cruising in humid areas.
