Just bought my third pair. I have had 2 pairs of these pants for over 2 years and they are my favorites for both indoor and outdoor activities. Their light weight and quick-drying makes them perfect for walking/hiking and their comfort, style and fit makes them great for indoors. Zipper cargo pockets are perfect for cell phone, and I much prefer zippers on back pockets rather than flaps.

This is my second pair of Cresta Hiking Pants. They are very lightweight and are ideal for when it's hot outside and you don't want to wear shorts. They may run just a bit long in the leg. On me, this results in a somewhat baggy appearance from the knee down - in a good way - not too much - and this makes them even more comfortable in the Summer heat. This length has not resulted in wear at the bottoms on the leg. Also, my old pair has a bit of wear on the seams in the rear, but I suspect that if I'd have used a lower heat in the dryer, this might not have caused the wear. Still the seam is tight and has not failed, so I don't really care. All in all, an excellent product.

Bought these for my DH. He is an engineer and works outside everyday and does a lot of traveling. He alternates between the brown and grey pants all summer long. They are lightweight and breath, so during the hot summer they are comfortable. They flex quite a bit but retain their shape - he wears them to the gym to exercise before work. No problems doing squats, lunges etc.
They are light weight and roll up very small in the luggage. This enables him to fit everything he needs for 1 week of travel in a backpack as luggage. He typically washes the pants in the sink when traveling and hangs them up in the shower - just a little soap and presto they are clean.
I like the way they fit on him. He's tried prana brand which look a bit too tight - so he returned them. These seem to fit well and leave a little leg room.
During the winter months they don't provide any warmth or protection so these go back into storage.
If LL Bean is reading this, I'd like to purchase two more pairs - though this time without the side pockets. This would expand their line of pants and usefulness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gctrekker Great, light-weight, stretchy, with good pockets
True to LL Bean brand tradition these pants meet all my expectations. The material is light weight. The two cargo pockets are large enough to fit wallets and fairly large cell phones (Galaxy 6). The stretch enables easy striding up steps. The 35 waste, 34" inseam fit my 6' 2", 170 lb body perfectly. Love them.

These are my absolute favorite pants that I have ever owned. I have tried many types and brands of nylon outdoor style pants and these are by far my favorite. The blend of nylon and spandex is perfect and so comfortable. They are great for many temperatures and weathers and well suited to many outdoor activities. I did recently have to return my Dark Driftwood pair because the snap unexpectedly popped off for no apparent reason, but I'm assuming that this was a manufacturing defect as I also noticed some funky stitching on them when I first got them about a year ago. Before that, however, that pair had withstood hundreds and hundreds of miles of trail of backpacking and were always so functional and comfortable. The pockets are all laid out beautifully and 32" waist x 34" inseam fits me perfectly and I am 6'2" and about 180 lbs. Thank goodness they offer inseam lengths up to 34" or they would be too small for me. I own two of the colors and will own all four soon.

Excellent slacks for home & travel. I wanted a cargo-type without the cargo look. These have 4 zippered pockets - 1 front each leg & 2 in back - along with 1 open on each side. I have shorts similar to this that have been great for travel with the zippered pockets to help reduce the chance of loss - pick pocket or otherwise, but couldn't find similar long slacks other than those with zippered legs for use as long pants or convert to shorts; these were a bit too casual for my taste. Material is light weight so it dries quickly when wet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BanjoTim Not very durable!
These pants are, as numerous reviews have stated, comfortable, flexible, lightweight, easy to travel with, nice looking (initially at least)...But, they are just not durable. I bought several pairs after reading the reviews. The fronts of the thighs 'pilled' very quickly and stitching failed fairly rapidly. I found myself re-stitching the seat, crotch, and pockets fairly early in the expected life span. After a year and a half I actually had to discard two pair. It was my expectation to be able to wear these pants for many years (3 or 4 anyway). Very discouraged and disappointed.

32x34 - fits true to size. extremely comfortable and heavier than your "wind breaker" style fabric. 2 side pockets, cargo are zippered and very convenient. recommended.

My husband loves these pants! They are lightweight, wrinkle resistant & they are not just for hiking - very versatile! My husband also appreciates the snap closure since he has Parkinson's & messing around with buttons can often be challenging. The zippered cargo pockets give a much neater look than the ones with flaps. We give these pants a big thumbs-up!

I bought these pants for my husband for his birthday. He wore them on a hiking trip the next day and loved them. They fit perfectly, were comfortable, and looked great. He's hard to please with clothing, so his approval was really meaningful. They would look nice whatever the activity.
