I ordered one for myself in red and one for my husband in black. We traveled all over Alaska and the Canadian Rockies with them and I was pleasantly surprised at how versatile and protective it is. We weathered many rain storms and cold environments, while subsequently exposed to hot rays from the sun, sometimes within the span of the same day. In each instance, this jacket performed outstandingly. The main issue for me was protection from water, and it did its job very well.
The fabric is slightly on the stiff side but it really traveled well and did not wrinkle up or become worn looking.
If I had to critique one thing, it's the hoods. They were not the easiest to adjust or to keep from blocking the view when fully pulled forward, but it's a minor issue compared to the overall usability of the jacket.
For anyone who wishes to layer with other items underneath, definitely opt for the next larger size to give yourself enough comfortable room. I am 5'3" and weigh 150. I ordered the Misses Petite Extra Large and it worked perfectly for me. My husband is 185 lbs, and 5'11". We got him the Men's Tall Large.

Very good quality coat, which it should be for the money. Time will tell if it retains its waterproof qualities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ACES10 Practical and comfortable
This jacket was recommended to me by a friend. I really like it. The only thing I would change is the depth of the outside pockets.
I do not feel comfortable leaving my keys in them unzipped.
Otherwise, it is a great fit, and very comfortable. I love this color and would like to see it in other pieces that you sell.

I have been looking for a rain jacket for a while now with a color that I liked. I like the brightness of the color. In warm weather it is a tad warm, even though the underarms have zippers for ventilation. I like that it is wind resistant.
Overall it is a great jacket. Price is a tad high. I was able to get it with 25% off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by USACDN Well constructed, sleeves too long however.
This is a very well made garment and I like many of the styling points. BUT, the sleeves are too long - and I have average length arms. I'm just rolling them up a bit because I like all the other aspects of this garment. I just wish they'd do more proportionally sized sleeves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PennsylvaniaGirl Great quality shell
I bought this shell because I loved my Pathfinder Jacket(s) so much. The fact that this shell is waterproof is a huge bonus and I have found that it is far more breathable than a rain jacket I used to own. The jacket fits nicely and is roomy enough to wear over a layer (I ordered an XS Petite; I am 5', 110 lbs). The zippers are of high quality, the material even feels like it will be waterproof without being too noisy, and the hood is of generous fit. I would have given this jacket 5 stars if the hand pockets were deeper; I fear that my keys might fall out if I leave the pocket zippers open because the pockets are a bit shallow. The sleeve length is good (and accurate for the jacket size), and the cuffs are adjustable by Velcro straps. I would have preferred if the cuffs had elastic for a tighter fit, but with the Velcro straps I find that I sometimes have to adjust the fit of the cuffs when I am putting on the jacket (so that my hands go through the tightened wrists). It's a great jacket and for an upcoming trip to Europe I plan to use it over the Ultralight 850 Down Sweater in lieu of buying a winter coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mainer78 Don't go by the Colors!
I ordered the purple coat and was so disappointed when it showed up and wasn't a deep purple at all. The fit was great and everything was great except for the color, which was completely inaccurate online. If you go by the colors online please know that the purple is a very light purple, not a deep purple that the website is showing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PennsylvaniaGirl Fantastic waterproof rain jacket!
I loved my Pathfinder fleece-lined jacket (I have three!) so much that I did not hesitate to purchase this shell for downpours. The Pathfinder Waterproof Shell is just that - terrific for the path and trail but just as excellent for everyday wear in wet (or dry) weather. The material is breathable, the number-one reason I purchased this jacket for very humid rain showers in Brisbane, Australia. I don't even reach for an umbrella when I wear this jacket. There are numerous spacious pockets and the zippers are of great quality and durability. The sizing seems accurate (I ordered an XS Petite, my usual LLBean size) and the jacket is perfect in sleeve and body length and is roomy enough to wear over a fleece and just as comfortable on its own over a T-shirt. I highly recommend this jacket for your go-to rain jacket or your jacket against windy days - it's a great LLBean product.

Rated 5 out of 5 The rain jacket of all rain jackets
I bought this rain jacket for my upcoming trip to Ireland and I am very happy with it. It is a nice length and not too short. The sleeves have a kind of taper to them so they cover your wrist too. The material is very water proof and it comes with the vents under your arms so its not stifling hot. It is a bit stiff but that is what I was looking for. I didn't want water resistant I wanted water proof and it is

Great quality, nice looking, fits well, functional. I almost passed this by because I don't care for the newer fabrics and in particular don't care for rip stop nylon but this is quite nice looking and sturdy. Very happy with my purchase and hope it will wash and wear well.
