Rated 5 out of 5 by KwickShopper Exactly as promised, looks great, stores easily!
After wasting some time looking in local stores for a lightweight visor or hat I needed for a vacation, I thought of LL Bean. I found exactly what I wanted--it does the job, looks great on me, doesn't flatten my hair, & rolls up to store in a suitcase or on minimal shelf space. Perfect. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by pmg52 Love this visor!
It is easily pack-able for travel or hiking.
It is open on top so my head breathes. I over heat easily
It is a wide brim to shade my face.
Only complaint and I am not certain this could be remedied: There is no brim on the back like a full hat. Back of neck gets sun exposure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bean56 looks great! very effective!
I was concerned that this sun visor might look ridiculous given the breadth of the brim (of course that is also what attracted me to the visor -- the amount of sun protection that would be provided). But rest assured, if you look good in a wide-brimmed hat you will look great in this visor. It really does look like a wide-brimmed hat when worn. The ability to roll up the visor is also very slick for traveling purposes. The only problem i have with the visor is that it is so wide-brimmed that when the wind blows it is hard to keep on my head! That's the only reason I gave this item a four-star rather than a five-star rating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Docwal Good hat, but not for golf
Thought this hat would be good for summer golf on hot days. After trying it on, I realized it would block my vision for aiming a shot. Also, for a small face the visor is just too large, creating a "frog-under-a lily-pad" look. I was disappointed, as it's otherwise a nice design and well constructed. Recommendation to a friend is based on someone better suited for the style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tennisplayet AWESOME!!
Over the years I have purchased many hats and visors. This LL BEAN visor is the best one ever. It is not hot like a hat is. It shades all of my face. And, you can roll it up and put It in your purse or pocket so easily. There is a band that slips around it when it is rolled that keeps it in place. Also, it has a wonderful Velcro strap so it can be adjusted for any size head. I highly recommend this visor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KinSLC Fantastic sun protection!
This is a wonderful sun hat. The large brim provides ample shade for face and ears, and it rolls up small enough to take just about anywhere. Also I get compliments every time I wear it. A great find!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rowsdower86 Great Sun Protection
I bought this wide brimmed visor for activities such as going to the lake, attending baseball games and mowing. It works great! It protects my face, ears and neck from the sun. I have a giant head, but it fits fine. The Velcro closure barely closes, but you could easily sew a piece of Velcro to expand the closure. It is nice that it rolls up while not in use. I can just throw it in a tote and it doesn't take up much room or get misshapen.

I ordered this visor after having some moles removed from my face and needing lots of sun protection for my face without looking silly in an over-large hat. This visor is perfect. The black trim makes it really stylish for pool or ballgames and the adjustable velcro closure is fantastic because usually hats are way to big for me. The way it is made it completely shades my whole face, not just to mid-cheek level like most others. I am not a big spender on this type of thing so it seemed pricey to me but after getting it and using it I feel like it is totally worth the cost. Get it, you'll love it.
