My husband and I go fishing frequently and since I started wearing this hat I don't worry as much about the sun getting on my face. This is my second one like it and I am glad they made some improvements in the leather cord. It stays in place better now but even before they fixed it, I loved this hat. I have gotten a lot of compliments on the "look" of it, too! I didn't like the coral color as much but that is just a preference thing; I like the natural the best! Enjoy!

I love this hat! Fits even my big head. Very good quality for the price. Somewhat heavy but not a big deal. I experienced no odor
other than expected nice grassy smell...Excellent sun protection
and coverage which is a must for me.

She likes the look, sun blocking, straw spacing keeps her cool and the cord keeps the hat from blowing off while hiking in the wind. This will become her favorite hat. Hmmm, I should buy her a spare...

I have a small head and a lot of times hats that are "One Size Fits All" are big on me. This one is perfect. I love it! The leather cord looks good and is very functional on windy days. That's one of the reasons I bought it. I saw a hat on another site that was almost identical but it didn't have the chin strap. That's what makes this one better.

I have a very small hat size, and have difficulty finding an attractive hat that fits. This hat definitely fits, and has a string to help in the adjustment. A great sun hat - I go to the beach a lot. Also, on windy days, the hat stays on due to chin tie.

I recently ordered this hat for a trip to South Africa. Good news--hat looked as attractive as pictured in photo. It also packed easily. Fit was great and things were going well until--bad news--we encountered high winds on one safari ride. I had the hat on secured with chin tie (great feature) and with the winds, the metal eyelet on the crown dislodged, leaving a large opening where the tie was threaded. But good news--I reached out to Customer Service at LLBean today and had an excellent experience. There were sincere apologies and an offer to replace the hat immediately with no charge for returning the first hat at their expense. So, I rated the hat a "3 star" due to the quality issue, but I have high hopes for the replacement and trust my first experience was a fluke! I'll then rate the hat a 5--but the Customer Service is a 5+!,

I needed to purchase a few hats to cover my head while I experience hair loss from chemo treatments and all three are very comfortable and stay put.....even riding in my convertible with the top down! They look great too!!

"One size fits all" rarely does, in my experience, but this hat fits me to a T. It is well crafted and the color is a beautiful peachy tone, but one that I think will blend in with just about any outfit. I rolled it up and left it for a while, as you might do with travel, and when it was unrolled it was just as it was when I first received it, no creases or folds anywhere. The price was consistent with the quality of the product, and was made even better by using coupons! Very flattering, and I look forward to using it whenever the sun shines. Thanks, Bean!

I recently purchased Bean's Straw Sun Hat in pink. Everything about it appealed to me, and I really liked the idea that the brim would stay creased even if it had been packed. However, what I was not prepared for was the unpleasant odor when I unpacked it, perhaps from the plastic bag it had been in. I have left the hat outside in the fresh air for 4 days and the odor is disappearing, for which I'm thankful. Otherwise it would be a return. I gave it a 4 star rating because it is a great sun hat, but it needs alot of airing before it's wearable.
