Rated 5 out of 5 by Madaboutcatalogs Soft, pretty scarf
I received this scarf in the ash color yesterday, and wore it today. I love the soft fabric and the gentle stripes. The scarf is quite long, so it can be tied, wrapped or draped in many ways. I love it, and can't wait to receive it in indigo when it becomes available.

I was concerned that this fabric might be a little too heavy for warm weather, but to my delight, it is as light as a feather. The size is just right to wear many different ways.
I bought the grey scarf to wear with a grey open stitch summer sweater but the color works as well with beige/tan as it does with greys. The aqua stripe in the pattern is very close in color to my blue opal linen shirt from LLBean, so I know it will get a lot of use. It's my favorite new purchase! Thanks LLBean, for another lovely product.

Forget, for a moment, the exquisite coloration of this scarf. I was sold the second I ran my hand over its texture. The fabric has a sensuous feel that puts silk to shame.
And those colors! First there are bands of pale ecru, followed by bands of beige, pale pink, coral, and burgundy, each of which is marled with threads of that ecru color, like a recurring theme in a symphony. This results in a subtle, muted effect, rendering it even more beautiful than otherwise - a whisper, not a shout.
I am describing the Russet scarf because the Indigo was on back order. If you don't like pink, you will like this scarf. If you don't like beige, you will like this scarf. I, for example, never liked coral, but I love the coral in this scarf. In fact, if you don't like scarves, you will like this scarf. Buy this scarf.

And yet another wonderful LLBean product. I bought this as a gift for my best friend; I just know she will love it. Hmmm, maybe one for me?
